Reviews
"Signed up for a Covid test in April 2020 and it turned out to be administered by Murphy Medical Associates at 1 E Putnam Ave in Greenwich. I do not use Murphy Medical for any medical services at all. Subsequent to the covid test, which is free, I received an invoice from a Lab for $57.27 for this test. For close to a year now, I have been trying to understand why I have been invoiced and who I can talk with to resolve this issue. Fast forward a year later to now, no one answers the phone at Murphy Medical. I had reached, thru email, the phone number of their outsourced 'billing person' who stated that she could not help me because the lab work invoice was for 'other blood work'. I requested a covid test- not 'other blood work'. Murphy Medical's web site is not operational and they have a voicemail system that is impossible to navigate thru to get to an actual person. Thus, I have not been helped by anyone who works for Murphy Medical. 5 call attempts to them today alone. My point: If Murphy Medical decided to use my blood for other purposes because they thought it would be a good idea, then that is it on them, and they should not only pay for the testing, but they should have asked for my permission to do so. I did not ask for other blood tests. If I ask someone to come to my house and mow my lawn, I don't expect them to also cut down some of my trees without my permission, just because they thought it was a good idea. Obviously, I will have to escalate this issue to a higher authority."
