"It gives me no pleasure to leave a negative review for this practice. Dr. Taweh and his staff were all very nice and in some ways very good, but I think it is my responsibility to help others avoid what my mother went through. Without going into details, her medications were mismanaged, leading one of her conditions to become much worse. After switching to another doctor we finally knew why things had gotten worse. As far as “concierge care” goes, she was not given what was promised when she signed up. We were told someone could be reached at all times but it was sometimes a full day or two before anyone returned a call. We were told the doctor would occasionally make house calls, which we found was not going to happen after she signed up. Under ordinary circumstances this practice might be considered par for the course as Doctors often have too many patients to keep up with, but we had my mother switch to concierge care and pay quite a bit extra for it, because of her more intense medical needs. Even after she officially left this practice she continued to get calls and bills to keep paying for the concierge care. It only stopped after I recently emailed them that this needed to stop immediately or I would proceed to file a complaint. She had also been double billed at one point when she was in the practice. An older or otherwise vulnerable person without someone who is monitoring their account, could easily have paid in these occasions. I’m hopeful that this review will encourage this medical practice to be much more careful in their delivery of services and also serve as a caution to others who have a connection to this practice. Things could have turned out much worse if we hadn’t caught the error in her medication and found a very good doctor to help correct it."
