DOCS Urgent Care & Primary Care - Danbury

"Place is a joke. So slow, PA spent about 8 seconds in the room after a 1.5 hour wait. No other patientsnin the place. Girls at front were were nice and respectful."

"I visited DOCS Urgent Care at 1 Padanaram Rd in Danbury in December. I scheduled the appointment for 9:15 a.m. that day. I arrived ahead of schedule and waited. I asked how long it would be before I was seen. It would be an hour more, so I asked for an alternative. The staff said come back at 1 p.m. I arrived back at 1 p.m. and the staff said that the wait time would now be one half hour, the provider was at lunch. I asked why an appointment was scheduled during the provider's lunch. What's the point of an appointment? The provider listened to my symptoms and said a test would be taken to determine the virus. If the test came back negative he would call in an antibiotic for a sinus infection. I asked how long, he said usually an hour. I asked that the prescription be sent to CVS. He said the staff would call with the results. I paid my copay (big mistake). I never received the call. The website listed the closing for 6 p.m. I drove there, the facility was closed. I called the next morning the staff said they were closing. She reported my tests results were negative but couldn't find the orders for the antibiotic. She would send a message to the provider to call me. No one called and no prescription was sent out. I called again on Monday and was told an antibiotic was called into Walgreen's on Saturday. That information was not true. Walgreen's informed me that no prescription was called in on the weekend. To sum it up, I never did get accurate information from the staff, there were problems with my scheduled appointment, no one called back and a prescription was called in days late. That's a lot of mishaps. The representative I spoke to suggested I email the company manager and also the billing department to resolve any issues. I have contacted them and never received a response. I think this is poor care. I can assure you I will never visit DOCS Urgent Care again. By the way, it's now January and no one has made an attempt to contact me."

"I had two appointments at DOCS Urgent Care recently. My initial appointment was on 12/30/2023 at 8:15 am and my follow up appointment was on 1/1/2024, also at 8:15 am. I arrived on 12/30 a little early, 8 am and there was a line already formed outside the door. The office was scheduled to open at 8 am but the lights were out and doors were locked until 8:10 am. After waiting for only 15 minutes, they did call my name and I was escorted to an exam room. I saw a very pleasant nurse practitioner who took his time. He was the only positive thing about this place. On my 1/1 follow up appointment , I again showed up early at 8 am. I had called the day prior and they assured me the website was correct and they would be open on 1/1. Doors were locked, lights were out and I watched several others pull up, try the door, finding out the office wasn’t open and leaving. I waited in my car until 8:45 am before leaving and heading to another urgent care. The place is dirty, floor not cleaned, garbage bins even in exam room were overflowing (despite being first thing in the morning) and lobby furniture looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. Other than the provider I saw, the others were rude and not helpful. I will never return to this urgent care no matter how convenient it is to my home."

"Respectable medical center. Hygienically sound. Professional staff. Well-organized and typically not crowded. The medical staff are knowledgeable and really do listen to learn so that their assessment is thorough and the diagnosis accurate. I use this for my primary care as well as urgent care. They make referrals to very competent medical associates in the surrounding community. Suffice it to say that I'm generally very pleased with DOCS Medical centers."

"Appointment was right on time. I wasn't sure if I would like going there but the staff was perfect. From the process of them taking my information and to them treating me. Everything went smooth. Had state of the art equipment and were very professional. They also had virtual visits with work for everyone. They make it very flexible for one and I think its one of the more unique places I've been to. Staff was Amazing!"
