"This place did wonders for me, and significantly improved my mental health. I would highly recommend anyone who is in search of help to either go to their ETP or IOP programs. Groups are specific and targeted to your individual needs and goals. My therapist, Sandra, was phenomenal and provided excellent care. A+ to Sandra! A+!! All of the program facilitators were well informed and ran groups in a way that caters to the success for all. 5 stars, no doubt."
"I wish I could give 0 stars. This is by far the worst programme I have ever seen. They are not up front with you about the cost of housing prior to you arriving. If they had told me how much I owed out of pocket, I would never agreed to go there. They make no attempt to set up payment plans. Their staff are useless. The groups are so basic and boring, there was nothing to be learned from them at all. Their "life coaches" are a joke. They are just young twenty-somethings who possess no life experience to help you in any way. I'm not sure they receive any training at all in how to handle a mental health crisis. There were problems with my insurance and I had to leave, but they discharged me with no appropriate written discharge plan ( which I am not sure is legal) I was not from Connecticut and they discharged me to be homeless on the streets of Dannury, CT with no plan in place for me to get home or anything to help find outpatient services. Don't bother with Blue Sky, it is absolute rubbish."
"If I can give them no stars I would. I was there faithfully everyday from September to February. They are so quick to “ discharge” people , just like me who were never ready to discharge. The med nurse never answered when it was time to refill meds. All these “therapist” don’t care to get to know you and your struggles , they want to make a big name for themselves but not really show people the real . I’ll wait though."
"I would definitely recommend Blue Sky to my friends, co-workers and family should they need care. I would have given 5 stars but the housing issue was not satisfactory. First it was bed bugs or another critter followed by a post infection. Then after living with 50+ men they housed all new 18-26 year olds let’s just say not the same kind of living situation and finally I was moved to a single. I would think that the age difference could be addressed better. The staff, therapists and life coaches all provided excellent care in a professional and compassionate manner. I could have gone to numerous places for out patient care but I’m returning the Blue Sky and I live an hour away. It’s worth it, I spent 14 weeks in the ETP program and it has made all the difference in my life."
"1 year ago today I checked into blue sky. I wasn’t there for any type drug related treatment so I can’t speak for their effectiveness for people trying to get clean; but I can tell you that when it comes to mental illness such as anxiety or depression, and you feel like you have no where to go this place could be a God Send! My counselor happened to be the director so I’m not sure if everyone will have the same results, but if you want my advice I would have to say to take the first step and call them and when you are there tell them that you want David Moore as your therapist. He will definitely help you. It took a lot for me to go there and leave my family for 30 days, but the anxiety got so severe that I knew something had to give. My current doctor was absolutely NOTHING compared to the team of doctors working together on me at blue sky. If you use them for mental illness I promise you won’t be dissapointed. By the way the drug counselor Rob happened to be one of the nicest people I ever met so I’m sure the drug program will be comporable to the mental illness in terms of help."
