"One of my favorites, easy trail in the beginning then gets a little intermediate when climbing to the top of the peak. Definitely recommend"
"Very nice park. ONLY reason I took a star off is because the trail map is lacking in real information. We parked in the lot and looked at the trail map posted.. one trail is perfect..flat and well maintained it goes around the reservoir.. the other is shown on the map as a red trail with broken lines..it goes around the other side of the reservoir... do not take that trail unless you are a mountain goat or are with someone you want to see break a bone...its not even a trail in places... obviously we picked it and survived but its not an easy hike at all. We went around the reservoir and joined up with the white trail.... that was a stroll in the park.. stay off the broken red line trai unless you are really good on loose rock, leaves and mountain goating."
"Has really great views. Parking can be a limited on busy days. My only warning for hikers is the path up to the peak is rocky. The majority of the ground is full of rocks. If you have bad ankles or knee problems be careful."
"This is an absolutely beautiful place to come to. It has a large loop trail that goes all around the reservoir and when you start walking up you can see a beautiful view from the top of the mountain. I love walking my dog here there is a nice path and you can also bring your bicycle and pets along they will absolutely love it here. I come here at least twice a year just to do the loop and it is beautiful I would definitely recommend checking this place out if nobody has already. There is a lot to see here and the water is beautiful."
"It’s a beautiful park in any season. The water is calm and serene. The pine trees provide scenery and good smell. There’s a short hike to the Chauncey Peak which provides a spectacular view. The trail is well marked. Some parts can be a little bit rough and steep. Need a good pair of hiking shoes. The parking is limited. During weekdays it could become crowded and hard to find a parking spot. Make sure to go three earlier or later to avoid crowds."
