Great Swamp Canoe/Kayak Launch

"The best place ever"

"A very quiet and secluded put in and parking area with direct access to the Great Swamp. Follow the signs down the dirt road just south and east of the train parking lot and the rec center. The Great Swamp is a wonderful and easy paddle. Don't let the name fool you as it is not really swampy, but more like a marsh with lots of lush vegetation and critters. It is not smelly or infested with bugs as the name may suggest. The current is slow enough that you can either take out down stream or easily paddle back to this launch area."

"Easy put in for your kayaks. Parking for approx 8-12 cars. Nice paddle, lots of wildlife and beautiful foliage. They are in process of building a nice boardwalk along Swamp."

"Nice secluded spot. Beautiful paddle. Travel distance on the water is limited only by fallen trees on the river. If you dont mind jumping out of the boat occasionally you can go for miles. Note: no restrooms/water/trash services onsite."
