"Spring 2021, I contracted ADR Masonry to complete a backyard basketball court project that just got too big for me to handle by myself. In 2020, I had cleared and excavated the area for the court, and had a front retaining wall built, but neck surgery over the winter and the scale of the work made it clear I couldn't finish this on my own and needed help. After getting several estimates, checking reviews, etc, I went with ADR Masonry, and I am SO glad I did. Eddie and his team came and picked up where I left off, and I could not be happier with the results. From start to finish, ADR Masonry was top-notch. The guys at ADR are easy to work with, know what they're doing, offered advice and made excellent suggestions that I wouldn't have thought of on my own, and the results are way, WAY better than I hoped for. All work was performed in a timely, professional manner, and they clean up after themselves when the day's done. They are polite and courteous, with excellent communications - every deviation, minor change, or suggestion was brought to my attention, explained and discussed - there were no surprises, overruns, or delays. Indeed, they finished the job weeks before I had hoped. ADR took my raw roughed-out area, about 45 x 45 feet, completed the filling and leveling with process stone for the base, built the retaining wall (matching the blocks to the existing front wall) around the back and sides to give the project a very finished, complete look, and poured the five-inch mesh-reinforced concrete slab. Watching the team work, it's clear how much of a family-and-friends group it is - they all seem to get along and work seamlessly together. I like supporting family businesses, so this was a nice perk as well. Eddie, the hands-on project manager, is an absolute treat. He's a smart, sharp fellow, soft spoken but self-assured, with a good sense of humor, and a lot of knowledge in this field. A really decent, enjoyable fellow and a pleasure to talk to, Eddie made this whole project a breeze -- I'm still kind of shocked as I glance out my window and see the court all poured and looking great, just waiting a few more days for concrete to finish curing so I can put up the pole and hoop and get my very excited 15 year old off my back and onto his court. I am VERY glad that I found ADR Masonry, and will definitely be using them for future projects, such as my asphalt driveway that is getting old and will need to be redone soon. I hadn't known of ADR prior to this project, and when I see a company that has only 5-star reviews, I am always a bit of a cynic and skeptic. I was wrong to doubt; those reviews were spot on, and here I am now writing one of my own. Just an excellent contractor, every step of the way.
