"This place may not be the most extraordinary, but it offers a decent experience, especially during the fall season and winter for those who appreciate snow. I noticed the presence of swings and play equipment for children, and although the swimming pool was closed when I visited, it may be operational during certain times of the year. Additionally, I came across a nearby dog park, which provides a space for kids and pets to enjoy. During the fall season, a special event featuring a firecracker session and a small festival-like atmosphere takes place annually. Local residents would be better informed about the specific details and dates of this event."
"Awesome park for the kids"
"I'll start by saying it's a nice pool. I went with my 7 yr old & my mother in the afternoon, around 430-5pm. The pool was not crowded at all &my daughter could stand & play. Lifeguards on watch constantly. To go to the deep end you must pass a swimming test first. My only serious complaint is that patrons are NOT instructed to RINSE before entering the pool. My family and I did but no one else did. They have signs right before entering the bathrooms only. A family of 5 walked in, did not smell good, & just jumped right in without rinsing & the husbandkept his shoes on! I complained & told front end that when customers are paying they should be directed to the bathrooms & instructed to RINSE. We had only been there about 30 mins when that family walked in and we immediately exited the pool & went to another pool in New Britain instead. Why have signs if rinsing isn't enforced? The signs say we RINSE to wash away sweat, lotions, fecal matter, etc, yet no one is told to rinse upon arrival- disgusting! The girls said it depends on if the manager that day enforces it, baffling!"
"Wow I worked in Rocky Hill for 12 years lived here for 4 months drove by that park a million times never knew the Amphitheater existed Great place to sit and listen to some music"
"Wide open space, great for kids, well maintained. Swimming pool and kiddie pool are open in summer. Dog park with separate areas for large and small dogs. Challenger ball field and accessible play shapes. A large band shell. Small hill for sledding. Plenty of family friendly events here too (less since Covid)"
