"Please read: This has been the worst experience I have ever had the displeasure of encountering with a mechanic shop. I usually only write 5-star reviews. My parent’s car was stuck in neutral and it stranded them. Darrell’s Auto Towing came. My parents said they wanted it towed to the Hyundai dealership, but they allowed Darrell’s to tow it to their shop because the driver said the repair could be done easily. The car sat with them for a while and the shifter cable and shifter assembly was diagnosed as the root of the problem. It took a long time to be repaired, but shops get busy so that’s not necessarily a huge issue. The same issue 2 months after the repair occurred, and we had to sent back to them. They took it and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. Everything about this claim was suspect which I made clear in a polite manner. I had a phone call and the explanation was dubious at best. This transmission was a Toyota-based transmission that had been serviced on time. They also did not diagnose the shift cable being damaged and claimed that the issue with the transmission was potentially an internal one and essentially on borrowed time if only the shift cable was replaced. If it suffered transmission damage, why was there no check engine light? Why did they not drain the fluid and look for internal damage like shavings or metal fragments? Why did they not look to the part they just replaced? We did not move forward with this repair and had the vehicle towed to a Hyundai Dealership. The tow truck driver destroyed the wheel chocks and did not remove them despite my parent’s request. In addition, the rear control arm was damaged in the process. The Hyundai dealership was very pleasant, and they diagnosed the shift cable as being installed incorrectly and damaged in the process. This is also where the rear control arm diagnosis was stated. I went back to Darrell’s to see if they would make it right. The manager was more upset than I was that I came back, it was unbelievable. After loads of deflection and refusing to take responsibility, the best they would do is issue a credit for the cost of the damaged control arm. For thousands of dollars lost, $300 credit is a joke, and we have NO interest of bringing our vehicle to a shop that will continue to do low-quality repairs and take no accountability. This is unacceptable, incredibly disrespectful, and NO ONE should come here. I gave them so many chances to fix their mistake and they disappointed me each and every time."
"This is one of the best company which has responded for our road side assistance through geico . We were stranded on a highway after a tire blowout at 6pm and all tire shops were about to close . Luckily there was one exact tire in a nearby ship for which Cody from Darrell’s auto services was very courteous enough to pick us from highway and purchase the tire before the shop closed by 7 . Removed the blown out tire and replaced with wheel balancing all within 2 hours even when the shop was closed . The service was absolutely phenomenal going above and beyond for customers . Highly recommend this place ."
"Terrible customer service. Had them assigned to us through our road side assistance. Got a call from them and they claimed they would have to call us back. We didn’t receive a call back for 30minutes so we called them. Person we spoke to claimed they “forgot”. It seemed like as soon as we answer the question of where were wanted to be towed (not to their garage) we were told they had 7 before us and laughed when we said we were stranded on the highway. Called back our roadside company and got paired with a much more professional company."
"Had a young man come and tow my car. Very pleasant and professional. I had already waited more than two hours for AAA. Darrell's came in less than a half hour. Very interesting discussion about cars. Excellent experience. Highly recommend."
"I’m a Dasher dropped parts off for Darrell one of his workers was very friendly told me to go to front entrance to drop off part because I was in the back of the shop I guess. Nothing but good people friendly and quick service he signed for the part . Told me to have a nice day. Thanks Darrell . People do not listen to negative reviews about this business. There a good shop and do great work. People are just miserable because there life is miserable. This is a great shop in my eyes and good people. God bless Darrell your Dasher Chris"
