Reviews of 3 Guys Ski & Ride
"A great local shop with an incredible amount of knowledge about gear. Mike takes the time to make sure everyone leaves with what they need or the knowledge of what they can use in the future. Best shop around!"
"I heard the ads on WZBG and was excited to have a local(ish) ski shop with knowledgeable owners who love the sport. The reviews were stellar, praising Mike for his knowledge, patience and customer service. I have to say, my experiences with Mike and 3 Guys Ski and Ride have not lived up to those raving reviews. Even after a botched binding mount job last winter, we gave them another chance. Today we went in for a boot fitting appointment. To our disappointment, Conor had called out sick. It happens. Mike said he didn’t have a phone number to call and let us know. We have made several purchases at the shop in the last 8 months and my son has a fairly unique name that could have been pulled from our customer record with ease, saving us a wasted trip. We were told we could leave the boots and they would take care of it. I asked how they were going to fit boots without my son’s feet in them. Mike responded that he thought we just wanted them stretched and they could do that this week. I told him we were looking to have them fitted to which he responded, “well I wasn’t in that conversation so I wouldn’t know” even though he was standing 3 feet from the woman who offered the appointment the day before. Mike then said that Conor would be back next weekend so it would have to wait until then. He turned his back on all three of us and started speaking to another customer. No offer to set up a new appointment with Conor, just totally dismissed us. My wife, son and I were all shocked at the tone Mike used with us and the completely rude dismissal, especially in front of another customer. My wife was so shocked she actually looked at me and said ”what just happened?” as we started toward the door but still within Mikes hearing range. He didn’t notice."
"I wish we'd done our kids rentals here in past years too! One kid has difficult feet, and Mike took the time to reposition buckles in order to get these little feet happy. We've skied 30+ days this year now and I haven't heard a single comment about discomfort (from either kid). Highly recommend!!"
"This is the place to go if you want to speak to someone with real knowledge about equipment and a love for the sport. After much discussion, and a lot of patience from Mike, I may have the first pair of ski boots that fit me properly. Dealing with arthritis and a brand new pair of boots (bought elsewhere) I thought skiing was over for me when, on my first day out after 20 minutes) one of my feet went numb and I was in excruciating pain. Turns out, there are two measurements that matter when buying boots. In the past, it's clear salespeople I've dealt with have only ever dealt with one measurement (who knew?). Not Mike - he was on it in a second. I now have boots that feel so comfortable, I can't quite believe this is what it could have felt like all these years. AND - Mike kindly bought my old (BRAND NEW) boots for his rental fleet and took the sting out having to buy a new pair. I can't say enough great things about Mike and this place. You won't be sorry."
"Staff was solid and super helpful (thank you Mallory) as well as the owners (thank you Mike and Jim). Got a pair gloves that were fire. Worth the drive."
