"Like so many other families, we've found ourselves caught up in the shortage of ADHD medications. Once again it was time to refill, and we found ourselves calling every CVS, Walgreens, and grocery store pharmacy in a 25-mile radius trying to hunt down somewhere with the prescription in-stock. The calls often involved navigating endless menus, waiting on hold, and half the time ended without a clear answer one way or another. Then I remembered seeing Norwich Pharmacy in the Salem Plaza and asked my husband to give them a call. Immediately, he was connected with the pharmacist. Although the medication we were searching for was not in stock, the pharmacist very helpfully offered an alternative that we could discuss with the physician, explaining why it might be a suitable solution. Upon our provider agreeing to the alternative and calling in the new prescription, it was very promptly filled and we were given a call informing us that it was ready for pickup. The next time I went in to pick something up, the pharmacist remembered me immediately. He informed me that that they wanted to get my consent before filling the prescription I had come in for, as it had a high co-pay. I appreciated the forethought and patiently settled in to wait for it to be filled. My toddler, who had come along with me, didn't even have a chance to get restless; they filled that prescription in record time. Not only is the fast, friendly, and knowledgeable service a standout above the rest; they are a small, local business. The policies put in place by the national chains are problematic to everyone from those they employ, to the patients they serve. I am thankful to have an alternative to those companies and a place to go where everyone is treated right."

"This is a new, well-run business in Norwich. It is an independent shop, not connected to Walgreens or Walmart or CVS. They remember who you are and your name and they are unfailingly courteous. I recommend that everyone transfer your prescriptions. Let's support independent stores! There is no line, no cranky teenagers, no crowd and you can even park very close to the shop. The prices are better and all insurances are accepted."

Being able to immediately talk to an actual capable person is a Godsend, but they bend over backwards to resolve issues immediately, before I ever have to call them, and are very communicative.
