"Living up north of the Merritt off High Ridge road, we have been passing by El Torito Deli every day since they opened up, and decided to give them a try last week – looking for an occasional alternative to the Italian, Chinese, and American options we have nearby. I was pleasantly surprised to see how broad their menu was, and was drawn to the Guatemala section. The Bisteck a lo Pobre had a really nice combination of ingredients and was very tasty – nicely balanced between salt, heat, and savory. We also got the Philly cheesesteak, and a chicken quesadilla to round out the order. The portions were huge, and well worth the price, with both my wife and I getting almost three meals each from the three dishes. We are definitely putting this in our takeout rotation."

"Disappointed! I ordered the ravioli, spent $18.89, for 8 or 9 pieces of ravioli, see pictures. No bread or salad included in that price! (i.e. not a "dinner"). Looks and tasted like Chef Boy-R-Dee, not a piece of garlic or tomato in the sauce (as if it came out of a big can). I was so excited that we might finally have a reliable place to grab food in North Stamford, this is not the place."
