"Always a superb experience at this hidden neighborhood gem in New Canaan. Entrance is around back for those in the know. Warm and cozy with a friendly-family vibe. The Double Double Burger and Cheesesteak are as good as you can get. Cocktails are prepared by arguably the best bartenders in the state and they are exceptional. Service is efficient and friendly and managers are always around making sure the crowd is happy. Go once and you'll find you can't wait to go back!!!"
"Decent spot for some drinks and selection of lunch food. No "wow" factor to it but worth a try."
"So, did uncorked think charging for ice cubes in a drink would up their profit? No thanks. Not worth going back. Even McDonald's gives you ice cubes **Owner** see receipt. $2.00 “rocks” Bar terminology for ice. **"
"I am so disappointed to write this review I am a frequent customer in the area so I walk or drive past here several times per week. I have always wanted to try it and have been interested in their eclectic menu. The food for lunch was “Mediocre at best” and honestly I would have been better off at the deli down the road. I only gave 2 stars because the quality of the food is somewhat decent….otherwise I would have given 1 star. Exorbitantly overpriced for the food being served. We got take-out and no prices are reflected on the online menu. Normally that’s ok for lunch, I presume everything is going rate as it is a bar. Cheese steak for lunch is $24, guacamole with a handful of chips costs $18, and small side of shaved Brussel sprouts salad. Total was $61. For what we ate, I think it would have been fair for a $15 cheesesteak after seeing its size and quantity and honestly it was only ok. Guacamole should have been twelve dollars it was a small portion and not fantastic. Side salad…also should have been like twelve bucks. Like diner style. The cheesesteak is of acceptable quality, but nothing “to write home about” and it’s about half the size of a typical cheesesteak. Fries were incredibly soggy and cold and tasted old. Let’s not forget, this is a bar with pub food. They’re charging fine dining or at least somewhat upscale prices. Food quality and portions don’t align. It’s no wonder they don’t have prices listed on a meager lunch menu. I would have preferred Spiga, Sole, or Cava. I could have purchased 2 legitimate entrees including seafood entrees for the exact price I paid for a sandwich, small side salad, and some “only ok” guacamole. I don’t mind paying a fair price for food, or even paying high prices for upscale food…..but the quality and portion size definitely don’t align. Bait and switch for lunch, no prices on menu, and they want payment before you arrive to pickup? I won’t be returning or referring anyone to this overpriced bar."
"Had the steak sandwich, it was very tasty with a generous amount of meat. She had the burger (which the standard is a double) it was also great as well! Victoria was our helper today and she was absolutely wonderful!"
