"Sat at bar area. Place was short staffed, waiter/bartender was the best thing there. They have a great employee that has urgency and keeps his cool. Burgers are nothing to talk about., their string fries are amazing."
"First time visit on Saturday. We found it by riding by, so signage is ample. A little concerned and hesitant due to the fact that there was NO wait on a Saturday night. The menu has a variety of items to order. I ordered the pretzel burger and classic french fries. My guy ordered fish and chips and an order of apecy glazed cauliflower. My burger was cooked to perfection... I mean absolutely perfect. I like my burger well-done. Not only was it cooked to perfection... it was, what looked like a "hand-shaped" burger. I had never had cauliflower made that way... Delicious. So glad we decided to stay. The prices were not bad for what you get, which is a delicious meal, nice ambiance and a visit from the owner/manager... all of which is a recipe for a guaranteed spot on the REPEAT list. Happy New Year"
"This was our first visit and we were excited to give them a try since we saw a Best Burger in CT sign outside. I am not sure if it is because we ordered take out but we were pretty disappointed in our meals. My daughter ordered Chicken tenders and the tenders were extremely dry and flavorless. I tried adding some seasoning to help but she decided to skip dinner altogether. My son ordered the Tavern burger but he is now reassembling it and adding items from here at home. My husbands burger was okay but the sauce was questionable so he ate some of it and tossed the rest. I ordered a chicken sandwich and my breading was super dry and again flavorless. I tried adding the sauce that was given but it honestly made it worse. The disco fries were great but who doesn't love cheesy fries. We also ordered an appetizer ( pickels and peppers) and they were good. I've been to Plan B Burgers in Glastonbury a few times in the past and the food has always been amazing. It was one of the other reasons we were stoked about this location. Our meal was almost $90.00 and while I know the cost of food is increasing I would still expect my family to enjoy our meal. I don't feel as though I can rate service since we exchanged only a few words with the girl at the front but she seemed nice. The atmosphere seemed pleasant but again we did take out so I don't feel like I can rate that either."
"Went to Plan B with my Fiancee & my daughter. Place was very clean and staff was friendly. Regardless of the place being very busy and what seemed to be a little short staffed, we were well taken care of. Mike who seemed to perform a few roles such as a bartender, waiter etc, took our order and was very friendly. He had great personality & attitude. We felt good during our stay. When it comes to the food, I was a little hesitant because their other location in Hartford set very high standards. I even thought "How are they going to top that?".. but honestly they did. My burger was PERFECT and their Homemade Mac and cheese was very tasty and a good sized portion. Will come back again. *****UPDATE***** Went back to this Plan B location for our daughter 4 year old birthday. We waited almost an hour for our food (place was basically empty) but my daughter had a princess tiara that said "it's my Birthday". Told the waitress "Hi, it's my birthday" to which the waitress didn't really acknowledge her. As far as the food. I asked for my burger to be cooked medium rare. (Meat was basically burnt) I asked for my egg to be a little runny on the burger.. (overcooked). This time not such a great experience. Crazy how much service and food changed since my last review."
"My wife and I were in Southington looking for a place to eat and found Burgers Beer and Bourbon which is apparently part of the Plan B restaurant group. We always had a great meal at Plan B in Glastonbury so we gave it a try. My wife and I walked in at 8:30 on a Sunday, the restaurant closes at 9. We had the wings, meatballs, and disco fries which were all good. The meatballs were a little too charred but it wasn't anything to complain about. We ordered two burgers medium rare that came out dry and well done! I asked for a fried egg on my burger with a runny yolk but not too much if possible. The egg was overcooked as well! Our server, even though friendly, had to be reminded to bring silverware, blue cheese for the wings, and never came back to check on us after delivering the burgers. I had to raise my voice to flag someone down.I asked for the burgers taken off the check because I assumed the "chefs" wouldn't be interested in correcting the mistake so close to the end of the night. Our server confirmed my asessment when I asked her. A manager never came to the table. It's as if, and while I'm writing this my wife is reading the bad reviews, this is the status quo. I wish I read the reviews before wasting my time and money."
