Reviews
"Here is a 100% honest review of Eagle Rock Apartments. When I applied it was a $50 fee per person applying, which paid for the background check and other things they usually look for when applying for something. It was non-refundable which is understandable for what it's for. After the application, it did take quite some time to get accepted. However, this could have been one of many reasons, so that was also understandable, but more so after the fact. Communication wise, you should really always be consistent and persistent with things like these. You are not the only person so they will not always call you or have great communication. Make sure you are personally doing your own follow ups as much as you want, they do not get upset about you being consistent. Peter, who you see the most here, is a great guy and very kind. He is super helpful and will literally help you with anything. I have not personally met Kathy, who I believe is more the corporate side of things, but on the phone she was very sweet and understanding and helped a bunch with all of my questions as well. As for the apartment itself, so far so good. Yes, you can hear your neighbors a little bit sometimes, but that is just apartment living. They are nice and cozy, and they are very large. No issues so far and we had a huge storm a few days ago and my apartment was perfectly fine afterwards."
"Please respect and listen to the other reviews. It will save you a lot of time and money. Everything was okay when we toured, we heard anything we wanted to hear but as soon as we applied the communication stopped. We call almost every other day and get told “Still working on it”. Even if we were denied, it would be nice to have enough respect to let us know so we're not just sitting around waiting. It’s been a month, please look elsewhere. I can’t speak on anything else because of the application experience personally but speaking to people who reside there, their number one complaint is the living conditions. Do not apply here, save yourself the headache"
"This place is an absolute joke. When I first went to move in, they contacted me a week before my move in date to push it back two weeks as they said the renovations weren't ready. Come actual move in day, I show up at 10am with my movers to find a whole crew of people in the apartment still finishing renovations. They needed to install the oven/stove and fridge. They were painting the walls and railings. I had to wait 4 hours before I could have my movers bring my stuff in and then had to wait more for the renovators to be done. Sure they comped me for the day and paid the extra time the movers had to wait, but a notification or something would have been nice. The apartment itself was okay, but everything else about the complex was awful. If you ever need to get a hold of the office, good luck. They very rarely pick up their phone and you end up having to leave a message with their answering service 9 times out of 10. Even though the building is supposed to be smoke free, people smoke on their front porch so if you live below a smoker, your place is going to stink if you want to try and have your windows open. Building security is a joke since their own cleaning crew will prop the building doors open and leave them propped open ALL DAY. Residents speed through the parking lot without a care in the world, even with speed bumps. They also don't stay on top of their building heat as were a few days during the winter where the heat wouldn't work at all (usually on a weekend when no one is around). The "new" appliances they put in are cheap. The dishwasher didn't work well and I would have to end up handwashing dishes more often than not. One of my "new" A/C's stopped working and needed to be replaced and one of the maintenance people told me it was common with the new units they purchased. On top of all that, when my lease was up for Renewal they wanted to increase the rent by $250-$350 a month AND charge a "garbage and sewer" fee that was an additional $40 on average a month. When asked why it was so high they just responded with "because its market value". 5 years ago these apartments were $800, now the price is doubled. I know people that had been living in that complex for years that had to move because of the ridiculous price gouging . . and for what? They didn't add or improve anything. They also have the audacity to spam you with emails asking for donations to charities so they can write it off on their taxes. I'm also pretty sure there are rats in the walls. Be smart, stay away from this profit hungry awful property management company."
"BEWARE IF YOU CHOOSE TO PUT MONEY DOWN HERE!!! They took our $2030 deposit, pet information, etc only for them to "not have a unit available" TWO WEEKS before we were to get the keys and move in. Full story below: Myself and my S.O toured here in May 2023 with Peter. We were interested in the 2 bed/2 bath loft style apartment. Eaglerock currently has a mix of apartments in various styles available. Some are "classic" aka outdated and others are currently in renovations. We toured various styles and agreed upon a renovated 2 bed/2 bath loft. This was unavailable to tour as we were told it was occupied and then would be renovated. Availability was for September of 2023. My SO and I were fine with a move-in date of September and were happy to wait until renovations were complete. We gave the deposit of $2030 and worked on getting over the necessary information for move-in (pet info, renters insurance, electric and cable). We were given a move-in date of September 9th. Fast-forward to August 24th, 2023. We had an appointment set up for our cable to be connected. My SO got a call FROM THE CABLE MAN telling us to call Peter as soon as possible because not only was the unit occupied, Peter in the office implied that there was no unit for us. Thank God for cable man Walter looking out. We called Peter, only for him to tell us we would have to speak with someone above him (Kathy). This was unusual as he has been our primary contact throughout this entire process. We showed up in person to leasing office to figure out what was going on. We were told that unfortunately the unit was not only not renovated, but the other tenants never moved out. We were not told what happened exactly "out of privacy". They had no answer as to why they did not call us as soon as it became apparent that there was suddenly no apartment to offer us. When asked when they planned on contacting us seeing as though we were two weeks away from moving in, there was also no answer. Kathy offered for us to tour what unit they DID have available which was a 2 bed 2 bath apartment on the bottom floor that was more expensive than the loft at roughly $2174/mo. She did not disclose that information prior to the tour and upon requesting our deposit back she stated she was "hoping to convince us" with that unit. We are still anxiously awaiting our deposit back as it is supposed to arrive in the mail via check in 7-10 business days. This was a monumental waste of our time, money, and effort. Given the current volatile housing market, the time we THOUGHT we had an apartment could've been used to continue looking for more reliable places to live. We are simply lucky we both live with our parents at the moment and aren't at risk of being homeless. What if we ended a lease elsewhere and we had nowhere to go? They certainly didn't care. I highly doubt that they ever intended on contacting us - my strong feeling is that we would have showed up September 9th to get the keys and we simply would have been offered the other apartment at the higher rate. DO NOT waste your time. This was unprofessional and disrespectful - the nicest way that I can put it. Eaglerock is shady. Never thought that my cable man would be the one to tell me I didn't have a place to go to."
"Applied for an apartment. At first everything seemed to be going smooth; Peter would reply instantly. Said my application would be processed within a few days. Then was told I needed to submit a paystub for a date in the future (told on the 12th I needed to give one for the 19th). Told him I’m unable to do that due to not having one, mind you I already submitted 3 other paystubs (requirement is 2). After that I haven’t received responses to my emails, called the office, they said my application should’ve been processed already, and they’ll reach out to Peter. Few days later Peter emailed saying he’s waiting on Kathy. It’s been almost a month and the communication just went downhill. No longer interested and wish anyone else the best of luck applying here."
