"We are enjoying living at The Pointe, the apartments are bright and specious. The grounds are lovely and the setting is beautiful with the exception of the occasional dog poop that someone didn't pick up. There is not enough insulation between floors so it can be quite noisy overhead, but that's the way they were built. Parking continues to be a problem. Maintenance issues are taken care of quickly, professionally, and with a smile. We did receive a large rent increase this year, but perhaps management could keep those on social security in mind when considering those increases."
"Alexis in the pointe @ dorset leasing office was instrumental in assisting with my move. The pointe leasing team is friendly and accommodating."
"We have lived here for nearly 7 years. There are very few people in the apartment complex who have lived here longer than us. To say the complex has gone downhill since we moved in is an understatement. The new management is flippantly awful. We were paying much more than the market price for a one bedroom apartment (nearly 2500 a month due to yearly rent raises). We begged them to let us stay in our apartment for a reduced increase in yearly rent - we have been model tenants. If the company or whatever bot responds to these reviews responds they can concur … we have requested maintenance maybe 2 or 3 times in ALMOST 7 YEARS since moving in. Still, they forced us out and the apartment we live in is listed for almost $600 less a month than we pay currently for the exact same dwelling space. This place will advertise that they have resident events to attend. Cool… hope you don’t work Monday - Friday between the hours of 8 am and 6 pm because all of the “gatherings” they have start at 3 pm and end by the time most people leave work. The appliances are clearly the cheapest version of whatever could have been bought - however that is not a fault of the current management as those have been there since the inception. If you want to get into the buildings, you'd better hope that your phone or another "smart device" with the requisite app is fully charged or you're not getting in. Previously, a key code utilizing the last four digits of your phone number was used for access. now, a sensor requiring a phone is used to get in. Want to grab a package outside quickly? Better hope you brought your phone or else you'll be spending X amount of time outside in the winter wishing you had access to your own home. If you email/call no one will help. Going on and on, we had birds nesting above the porches. since the birds were sensitive, we were told that the nest could not be removed until the baby birds which were hatched were grown enough to leave. This was two years ago. The nest is still above our porch and the caution tape, which marked the removal spot is still present. I have personally witnessed the downhill movement of this place. I’ve seen it manifest over the last couple of years, especially since the new management has taken over. However, I want to recognize the maintenance workers. Alex and his partner are second to none, and are two professionals and extremely nice. Unfortunately, I have witnessed the office workers be rude to people, and I wholeheartedly would not recommend anybody move here in the current state. The location is fantastic and perhaps if a new company bought the property, it would be a great place to live. however, it leaves an extremely bad taste in my mouth that we have lived there for so long with no problems and still corporate greed has taken over and forces out because the company wants to net a few more hundred dollars a month to get someone else in. However, it seems that they don’t know or realize that to get someone new in, they’ll have to repaint and refurbish the apartment and they’ll have to initially charge a lower fee when they could’ve just had us stay there in a place which is not as nice as it was when we moved in. Hopefully the break ins stop, because the apartment says that it’s too expensive to pay for security cameras. That’s in a parking lot that already does not have enough parking spaces. There have been multiple nights where I’ve come home late from work I had to circle the apartment complex two or three times to end up not finding a spot. I care about many of the people who still live there - they were my neighbors for years and I hope that something changes and a new management company takes over so they are not forced to live under the conditions which have presented themselves over the last year or two. Please take my review Seriously. I am one of the most informed people on the state of this place as I have lived here since the year the buildings were constructed. I would use this as a last resort for a place to live. There are many betteroptions"
"A friend of mine has an apartment here and I'm always overjoyed to spend time at such a gorgeous, clean, and friendly place. If I ask nicely and rate 5 stars can I move in for free?"
"Very expensive for none of the benefit. You will never be able to find a parking space and management is more than happy to let you take the ticket than tow people who don’t live here. Do not enforce codes and will not answer the phone if you have an issue. Pool problems, dirty grills, a small gym, but with a nice hanging room. i wouldn’t recommend living here unless you’re comfortable living in a box where you will here every footstep anyone around you makes with no help at all. The office is usually closed so even if you go down after a call please don’t expect anyone to be there. Lots of dog feces on the ground and also i think the place might be overrun by pigeons. The management does not care and is just charging high prices because they want your money. There are a lot of other quality places to move in the area for a lot less so i would highly suggest researching but if you have no other place to go then this isn’t the worst place in the world."
