"I had a wonderful experience with Crown Point and would recommend it to anyone in need of a place to live. I lived in the apartment for three years. I was very happy. The pools in summer were great. The different events they had in winter were wonderful. They always tried to have a community feel which was amazing. Jessica was great. She helped whenever I had questions. In short a great place to live. The apartment was spacious and lots of light. I will miss living there. Great place for kids."
"It has been almost twelve months since I moved in, and I must say that two of the concerns I brought to the Management’s attention, upon moving in, remain unresolved. Cleaning the premises (hallways, elevators, and common areas) and building entrances (door locks) are way below expectations (I am being very polite). These issues were brought to their attention numerous times, throughout the year, and all they said was “we will look into it”, “we are working to resolve the issue”, or “thank you for bringing it to our attention”, but still nothing has been done firmly. The cleaning team spends more time in the upper clubhouse or driving around the complex than performing their duties/responsibilities. I was told that they “should” clean the hallways/common areas on each building at least once a week, but I know they have not done it on many occasions for more than 3-4 weeks. On the entrances’ locks, they even said that the locks had been fixed numerous times, but someone broke them after they had been fixed. I was even told that the Management was considering changing the whole door (including the frame), but their decision remains unknown, so the building remains unlocked (one of the entrances) hence bringing security concerns, not to mention that there are no cameras to provide additional security and accountability. The only issue that is being addressed after twelve months is the renovation of the gym (next to the upper clubhouse), which they announced, “it should be completed by the end of the year”. One more issue to be mentioned here is the conditions of the elevators. Most of the false ceilings have been removed and the elevators are not well maintained. They mentioned that due to the number of moves, they cannot keep the elevators in good condition, but if they installed “elevator wall pads” when moves take place (moving-in or moving-out), then the elevators would be in better condition. I know that upon submission of my comments, I will receive, again, a response from the management saying: “We are sorry to hear that your requests aren't taken care of as quickly as you would like. Our talented team would love to get all your issues taken care of ASAP. Please reach out to us directly so we can schedule a time.” Whether the issues that remain unresolved (cleaning and security) are due to lack of manpower or simply procrastinating the responsibilities/services is something that the Management should seriously and promptly address them to avoid further negative comments and make the tenants feel comfortable that the premises/hallways/elevators are clean and well maintained, and the building doors properly locked to avoid any security issues."
"My whole experience of renting at Crown Point was terrific from start to finish. Casey was helpful and responsive to all of my questions. The whole process was seamless and my apartment is great!! The facilities are really nice and I enjoyed the pool while it was open!"
"Crown point review 1 rating- Horrible Cheaply made apartments, very overpriced, old cheap appliances, walls and ceiling are paper thin and you can hear everything from the neighbors Noisy and obnoxious neighbors above and below us..we filed multiple complaints and nothing was done. They raised our rent almost $300 in 2 years..not worth the $$$ at all Crown point is very unsafe..there is continuous crime happening here because these criminals know there are no security measures at all. There is no security cameras in any of the buildings or garages, the side doors and main doors are constantly broken were any body can gain access to the buildings and garages..we send continuous reminders to fix the broken doors and it never gets done. My car was keyed in the outside parking lot 3 yrs ago (Aug 2020)and cops were notified and the front office did nothing for me. Multiple cars were broken into in May 2022 and then again in April 2023 in our lower parking garage and nothing was done about it again. My finances car was one of the cars broken into in the parking garage (April 2023) and the cops were notified and nothing was done about it by crown point..the office manager and regional manager ignored us, they could care less and never even responded..no new security measures were taken and they have no intention of doing so. Maintenance is always delayed and takes forever for them to fix or address issues The front office never responds or gets back to you in a timely manner..the only time they respond is to add something to our base rent where they can make $$. We had hornets in our apartment and a nest in our ceiling and the front desk manager kim handled it horribly..it took about 2 weeks for her to get the exterminator to come and address hornet issue and the manager acted like it was no big deal meanwhile one of us was severely allergic to bees..we sent numerous emails and maintenance requests about it and they still did not care. We also get an increase in bugs during the summer months in our apartment despite having the windows closed running the AC and if the windows are open there are window screens in place. We currently in June 2023 are finding more hornets in our apartment, we notified management and again no response or acknowledgment. Common areas, garages, elevator floors and hallways of every apartment building are always dirty..there were many times with animal body fluids, garbage etc continuously on the elevator floor over the last few years we lived here..they only focus on cleaning the upper and lower club houses on a daily basis Cell service is horrible, lose service in driveway area and in the garages There is always a constant natural gas smell outside Only positive note is the grounds are kept really nice and the complex is very close to I-84"
"I absolutely love living at Crown Point. From the minute I moved in, Kim, Jessica and Casey made me feel at home. Add to that all the major property upgrades that management recently implemented like the hallways renovations and pool, this has been the best renting experience I’ve had so far by far."
