"My boyfriend has raved about this place, I am a newbie. Was told the menu was extensive, and it truly was . It had apps, a fit menu, plant based artisan pizza, sandwiches, burgers, salads, street treats, pasta, house specials, chicken specials, seafood, steak etc.. Chose a pulled pork sandwich on a pretzel roll and a burger with egg on top. Both delish. Waitress was good, meal was good, atmosphere was good. There is nothing negative to say. Absolutely every time we come, food is absolutely delicious and the service is good. It's a redo place every time. My new favorite is the protein bowl . It's just delicious, and every time I come lately, it's what I order. Great service, great food, great atmosphere."
"Impressive!!! Went with a work group for Christmas and was so impressed. We were a group of 9 and they don't take reservations but they got us right in on a busy day. Parking is a bit of a struggle but we managed. The menu is so extensive it takes some time to peruse it but the wait staff was super patient. Waiter was so friendly and attentive. The food came out really quickly even with our crowd. I had fajitas and they were top notch and filling! Everyone was so pleased with their choices. The price of the place is so affordable that none of us reached our allotment for a company party. I can't wait to bring my wife here and this place gets a rare 5 stars from me."
"Maggie’s used to be one of our go to places when we lived in Portland, CT. We have since moved away but went to Hartford to see a show so decided to make a stop at Maggie’s on our way home. The Good. The cupcakes and cappuccino were on point. Hubby enjoyed his chicken avocado sandwich. In the past I have had pasta dishes that have been amazing (at the Manchester location) The Bad. Tonight I choose to have a burger, specifically the Fig and Brie burger. If you have ever had Fig and Brie you know it’s a delicious combo. The burger was terrible. The patty itself was charred on the outside and had zero flavor. There was little to no Brie and an abundance of fig jam that was filled with seeds, this threw off the texture of the meal. The fries were underwhelming as if they had been sitting for some time. How hard is it to get a burger and fries right? Especially when they are close to $20? The Ugly - Our soda was flat, and when we pointed this out to the server she brought an equally flat second soda to us. (Adjust your seltzer/syrup mix…restaurant 101) They have discontinued the breadsticks that used to be an awesome buffer as the main meals usually do take time to be served. I’m sad that my initial excitement to be back at Maggie’s fell flat by my poor menu choice."
"I have been here plenty of times and the food is great but the service was not great this time around. Our server forgot a portion of my meal even after I had the menu open and displayed what meal I wanted. We seen the waiter blow his nose and we do not know if he washed his hands. He brought the food and part of his hand was touching the food... we couldn't get a manager at the time because it was busy. Besides the service and being slightly grossed out, my glazed salmon was absolutely delicious!"
"The food was outstanding!! Full menu during lunch is huge, restaurants take note!! I had a cesar salad and loved it, however, bigger bowl. I had a great medium cooked Ribeye, slightly overcooked, regardless, I loved it!! W/ a bottle of A1 that made it. The Broccoli side was ok. The menu is awesome, something for everyone. The service here is kind of good, but obvious poor management. Waste of resources. Contact me, I can help."
