"Shame on you for cutting ties with the rescue groups. I hope everyone knows of your decision when picking a new vet. Please everyone if you are reading this, also give a one star review to pull this rating down and alert the public to what he did!"
"Unfortunately, I have to give one star to even post a review. I will start with this.. prior to new ownership/veterinarian, this was a great, safe and trusting place to bring your animals. Last Friday I brought my 1.5 yr old male cat in because he was showing signs of discomfort and wasn’t able to void. They told me he had a blockage. Their plan was to remove the block, and keep him for at least 24-48 hours, with a catheter in place to monitor him, flush his bladder, kidneys and make sure this block was cleared. To my surprise they called me a few hours later to pick him up, stating he was fine to go home. He was supposed to go home with antibiotics, pain meds and special diet food. I had my daughter pick him up for me. Not only did they not give him antibiotics or any medicine to go home with, when she took him out of his carrier he still had his catheter in him!!! This poor baby was bleeding all over the place and still in so much pain!! I brought him back to have the catheter removed, I asked HOW could this even happen and why he wasn’t sent home with his medications… the Vet Tech responded, in the waiting room, in front of other patients, that she “thought there was a financial issue”. WOW! They quoted me a price of 1200$ before they even took my cat to the back room, I applied and was approved for care credit and even offered to give them a down payment that day if needed. BUT why does money matter when it comes to caring for animals? What they quoted me was to give my cat proper care, medication, food, and a 48 hour stay. Which they did NONE of the above and it gets worse! My poor baby still couldn’t pee, he was clearly not ok. I took him to a new vet first thing in the morning and they have been amazing!!! He is still in their care because that’s how bad his condition was when he was sent home from this place!! His kidney and potassium levels were dangerously high, he had a fever, blood in his urine etc. He should have never been discharged. This was pure negligence!!! Please do not bring your animals to this new “Veterinarians”."
"I manage a shelter on the shoreline and I have worked with Madison Vet in the past and the staff was lovely. Unfortunately the doctor who owns the practice is cruel and greedy and does not care about animals. I have told everyone I know about his decision to cut ties with rescues and shelters so they will not patronize his establishments. I truly hope they ostracize him from the veterinary community and he loses all of his money for what he has done."
"This veterinary hospital used to be one of the best in the state, unfortunately it was sold a few months ago and the new owner cut ties with all the rescues and a few of the really good Drs. on his staff were fired or left. I realize that as a business you need to be profitable, but I can see the writing on the wall that this place will no longer be what is once was.Profits over care."
"Shame on you for discontinuing your support of the countless rescue animals that need medical help. I understand a business is a business, but it is unacceptable to without notice, cease care for those that depend on you. It’s not all about dollars and cents. How disappointing that a veterinarian wouldn’t put the best interests of animals before lining his own pockets. I’ll be spreading the word about your decision."
