Sheraton Tarrytown Hotel

"We stayed here over Christmas and it was lovely, peaceful, and welcoming. This isn't a brand new hotel, but the room was still nice and beds very comfortable and at a really good price point - so I thought it was a great value. Pool, hot tub, and fitness room were all available and ready for use. Staff was kind and helpful. And had cookies, snacks, and hot beverages out all day for Christmas Eve/Christmas - not sure if they always do that or if it was just for Santa - in any case, a nice touch. It was a short distance from the train station, which we could take straight to Manhattan to see Rockefeller Center, etc. Would stay there again if we decide to do the same trip again in the future."

"Great location, rooms were decent and clean, starbucks on site. ONLY Complaint is that the last day of our stay the phone rang at 7am and room service knocked our door pretty loud at 8am. Not only did room service lady knock loud, she DID NOT pay attention to the privacy please sign on the door and actually opened it while we were there, walked in and said "there stuff is still here" and walked out. NOT COOL. Seems like hotel is strategically waking people up very early to get them out. Check out time is not that early so please stop waking up guests at 7am."

"We had our wedding block here and the experience was extremely easy and convenient! We worked with Barb leading up to the weekend and she was SOO helpful and responsive - she made our lives so much easier. The suite we stayed in was nice and spacious which was perfect for getting ready before the wedding. We were also able to keep the bar open at the hotel later for a low fee which allowed our guests to keep mingling later into the night. I'd recommend having your wedding block here!"

"I've lost 1000 dollars in the safe of my room in this hotel. It was very confusing how they dealt with my problem. I stayed in this hotel from October 27 to 30, 2023. I put my money in the safe and set the password. It was a total of $1360 dollars, however I checked out and went to New York. Only around 4 or 5 hours after my checkout I noticed I forgot all my money in the safe. I asked a relative that was still in the hotel to get their help and open the safe with the password I set, as I was far away. What happened after this was very very confusing to say the least. As my relative was waiting in the lobby, they went to the room to check the safe on their own, without inviting my relative go to with them. They came back saying there was nothing in the safe of room 308. However, my room was 408. I don't know how they can go open a room's safe when it was told that there was money in it. It should never be done by one employee alone. At least one more person should be put in this task as an eye witness, and I think it should be the one claiming the money was still in the safe. They said it was not there, but got "confused" about the room number. After this confusion they went with my relative to room 408 and opened the safe. When I put the money there, I put one stack of $1000 USD that was inside a transparent plastic bag and a stack of change money for the other $360. The $360 was there but the $1000 stack vanished. They declined to file an official complaint about the lacking money and dismissed my relative as if nothing had happened. Very odd way of dealing with a room's safe. I am writing this as a way to warn others about this situation. I am also going to the police to let them know of what happened, just in case someone else had a similar problem, so the police can do their job. Be careful with this hotel's staff, as they do not seem to have procedures to deal with important matters, and specially about a room's safe, as they can open it without your password and without any security procedure."
