"Was going to stay there but after seeing pics and reviews,oh nooo way I will stay there."
"Clean but smelled of smoke."
"We booked for a bachelorette on Vrbo. The policy was listed as eligible for 100% refund up to 60 days before the stay. Unfortunately we had to cancel within the allotted time frame. When going to cancel, Carol only refunded a portion and made excuses that were later confirmed as untrue by Vrbo. She refused to refund me, hung up on Vrbo multiple times and consistently gave reasons as to why she couldn’t speak to us. I had to send picture proof of the ad listed as eligible for refund. She argued and tried to deny with Vrbo, but luckily Vrbo stepped in and made her pay my the refund. I was not eligible to write a review on Vrbo since I did not officially stay. Carols customer service is atrocious and deceitful. My biggest regret is not researching the house first, or I would have seen all the awful reviews. We dodged a bullet and hope you will too!"
"Wish I had read Matt’s review before my friend booked this place, everything he wrote was true. The place was filthy, the bedding was not washed, some sheets had cigarettes burns, and the place was covered in dust. There was no proper cooking equipment. When my friend spoke to the owners about our issues they weren’t very helpful. The pictures make it look isolated but it’s right on a busy road as Matt said in his review."
"We were told the kitchen was "fully stocked" with cooking utensils and pots/pans. What there WAS looked like the junk someone leaves behind after they move out. The floors are warped and uneven. Its makes you dizzy and sick to walk through some hallways. It sits mere feet from a main road so you will hear traffic going by all day and night. We awoke to a &%#@ing air raid siren going off some mile or so away....No &@%@ing clue why. All the rooms were decorated in 1946 and have never been updated."
