"Our room smelt heavily of cigarette smoke. Two flies shared the room for the two days we stayed. Very poor Internet even when wi-fi was strong. Would switch rooms immediately next time if possible."
"Our room was very comfortable and I like that there were ceramic cups, not paper, for coffee. The WiFi was extremely weak and the continental breakfast was minimal. But there is a restaurant across the street and a nice coffee shop/bakery nearby."
"I stayed two nights. The rooms are nothing to write home about, but it was clean and had all the standard amenities. All the rooms are ground floor so if you don't or can't use stairs that is a plus. Where it shines is the service. I saw one occupant that needed a jump and the owner called his buddy to assist. I discovered that the owners are originally from Albany (embarrassingly I had to look up the location in Europe), and I had the chance to talk and interact with several family members. I had the feeling that if I needed anything that they would make sure the issue would be resolved fairly and quickly. The location was 5 minutes from the wedding venue, but also within 10 minutes from the bulk of stores in Sharon. The complementary Continental Breakfast is satisfactory. If you want more of a selection there is a great casual French restaurant within walking distance. Overall, my wife and I enjoyed our stay and had no complaints. One day I'll visit Albany. From the pics it looks like a beautiful part of the world."
"Friendliest service I've ever encountered in the lodging industry (hotels, inns, etc). The manager was kind, funny, and helpful, and his little dog is the cutest thing ever. The rooms were exceptionally clean, both upon entering, and the next day after maid service. The other staff were equally friendly. The rooms are not overly modern, and there's the occasional imperfection (a seat cushion was ripped), so if those things are essential to you, you might consider other places. But, it almost added to the charm of the place; this isn't a cold cookie cutout by a huge hotel conglomerate. The grounds are beautiful. Lots of little nooks and benches and long stretches of beautiful landscape. Continental breakfast did its job. Bagels, muffins, donuts, juices, coffees. A great option if you just want something to hold you off before lunch somewhere. We've been to many places in the area, and this is right up there with our favorite. Already rebooked for our next trip."
