Rodeway Inn Waterford - New London

"We booked our room through a travel website and with this day and age where reservations for everything are made online I believed we were all set. On arrival there was no one at the front desk and was prompted to call for them. I gave them my name and they said that they did not see it in their system. In my head I was thinking the travel website may have made a mistake or I may have been scammed. However, they were very rude and unkind when I let them know that I needed to contact the travel agency for support. He continued to repeat upwards of ten times that he didn’t see me in the system as if I was lying about my booking. Rather than being sympathetic about my situation, he left me to handle everything on my end. Through google I searched up pet friendly places and this was listed as such. However, before I can mention that I had a dog along with me as he was in the car with my boyfriend, he said the place doesn’t accept dogs which made me feel unwelcome. I was more than willing to pay the $50 unannounced pet payment that they had posted up. He brushed us off and didn’t even offer to see if they had any rooms available. Just all around terrible service. He left the building once I sat down to try to contact support. At this point I was ready to leave."

"Extremely cute, updated room. A very clean bathroom and new mattress. Extremely comfortable stay. No coffee maker in the room. However, it had a kitchenette. I was only overnight for a function. The owner/night desk was very polite. No wifi.."

"This room was very clean and comfortable. I initially skipped over this motel as the Roadway Inn where I am from is not a good choice. However I was very impressed with this one. I stayed in room 111 which had a small kitchenette and would have been perfect if I were staying longer than just one night. The person at the desk was super polite. Grab and go style breakfast. The area is quiet and safe. Building is well maintained and kept clean inside and out. I will be back in a month or so and will definitely stay here again. If you want a clean room at a decent price then I highly recommend this place!!"

"I am very impressed with this Rodeway Inn. Check in was easy, the room was extremely clean, everything worked and was comfortable. We stayed in room 110 that has a couch and kitchenette setup which was a nice added touch. Parking was easy and they have small grab and go style contentental breakfast. They even gave us maid service despite only staying here for the weekend. No complaints at all, If we ever need a hotel in this area again we will definitely pick this place. Price was unbeatable too ($50 range a night early December weekend) Highly recommended!"

"The apartment was clean, quiet place and I think its good for the price. However, I cannot say the same about the service. I got there 5 minutes before my 3pm check in. I drove over 3 hours from Jersey. I was at the front desk waiting for someone to attend me and calling from the phone office since it said dial 0 for service. After 15mins waiting another gentleman that was also waiting called someone to send in someone to help us check in. 5 more minutes after an older gentleman came out of a back room, barefooted and he seemed to have just woken up. He had a very sarcastic and unpleasant attitude. Maybe he was just not in the best mood but I cannot say that I had a pleasant experience during the check in process."
