"My girlfriend and I stayed at the Henrietta House for our fourth time about a month ago. On this particular visit, Marian was out of town, so Jasmine hosted us, with help from her dog, Moonbeam, and Marian's cat, Sunny. As always, our stay was excellent. Everything about the house, the food, and the hospitality is infused with Jasmine's, Marian's, Moonbeam's, and Sunny's care and love. My only wish is that when I visit, I didn't have to leave."
"Came for the summer (September) Brimfield show and wanted to find a local bed & breakfast-the Henrietta House was very convenient for Brimfield and restaurants in both Mass and Connecticut. The home has a ton of history dating back to 1722! I loved the original wood floors and wooden beams throughout the home. They have a large property, though it isnt kept up the best. Keep in mind it is an older property in the woods and a working farm (chickens and goats) so the overgrown foliage and vines/weeds (kind of) work and give the home a rustic feel. Jasmine is a delight. She is the nicest young lady who is full of energy and information. Along with her dog Moonbeam, you’ll find her outside working in the garden or playing fetch with Moonbeam. After the first breakfast Jasmine realized what a coffee drinker I am, the next morning she went out of her way to make me a fresh pot outside my bedroom door and text me to let me know it was ready. Breakfast is downstairs-farm-to-table—-fresh eggs from the farm, goat milk and yogurt made from their goat milk, along with homemade biscuits with jams local from a farmer down the street. Marion and Jasmine will join you for breakfast and give you all the interesting details of the home as well as answer any questions you may have about the area or things to do. If you are an introvert this isnt the place for you-there is not an option for private dining. The bathroom has a special soap offered- locally made & free of chemicals-and does not dry out your skin. Please do yourself a favor and try the soap! Its amazing. My only negatives: The home (especially the room) could use a declutter and deep cleaning. The furniture in the room (we had the Henrietta suite) has seen better days. The sofa, dating to the mid 70’s, is old and rugged with faded and torn fabric. The only chair, sitting in the corner, has a cover that seems to be from the 60’s, which looks to be worn and dirty. There is an oddly placed blue dress hanging on the brick stack as well as many other items that werent needed. If they were to declutter and add newer more comfortable furniture, the room and inn would be spectacular. Also, it didnt feel like a bed and breakfast (business). Other than the friendliness and delicious breakfast it seemed as I was staying in an airbnb with no luxuries and no common area to relax. If you are traveling with someone and wanted a little space or one needed to take a work call, there didnt seem to be another room (living room/common area) that guest could use. It did not have the hospitality/hospitable vibe that other bed and breakfast do…No afternoon refreshments, no evening social hour, just breakfast and a room. I am not knocking the inn, I had a fine stay, Im just letting you know what to expect and the areas where they could improve their service."
"My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our room was simple and comfortable with a lovely view of the barn, goats, chickens and gardens. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Marion and Jasmine were wonderful to chat with and eager to make our stay pleasurable. And the breakfasts were delicious. We enjoyed the trails adjacent to the Henrietta property. We hope to check out other nearby trails next time we come. Yes! We hope to return."
