"Terrible. Took 6-7 trips to get a single medicine. They were unexpectedly closed one day, med not in stock one day, only half of a months supply, and I was going to be forced to pay two co-pays vice one. On three occasions, the doctor didn't do something right on their end. As a doctor, I know a decent pharmacist will make a call to the Dr's office and sort it out quickly to make sure the correction goes through, but three times they made us leave and call the doctor's office. Ridiculous. Will have meds sent elsewhere in the future even though we live in Old Lyme and it's the local option"
"The store staff is incredibly rude. Go to the Walgreens in Deep River if you live in the Lyme area."
"I have come to lose complete faith in Walgreens Pharmacy in Old Lyme in the past couple of months. I recently came home with a prescription to find they gave me 9 pills; not the 90 pills that it should have been. Called them about this and was told I could come get the rest and would not be charged. When I went to get the rest I was told by the pharmacist that because of insurance they had to charge me again but would give me a store voucher. Ridiculous! I checked my other 2 prescriptions and they were short as well. Not once was I told I was given a partial fill. Today was last straw. I checked the total number of pills per bottle label before paying. Sure enough only 77 pulls. The pharmacist took it saying she would fill the full 90. New label says 90. I counted the pills once home and she only gave me 86. I understand they are struggling with a shortage of pharmacists but this is unacceptable. I will be changing pharmacies tomorrow; and NOT to another Walgreens."
"For the last three years, I have had nothing but a horrible experience with Scott and his staff. I can never get him or a technician to properly run an insurance card or use a copay card for branded medication that I need to take. I am forced to always go to another pharmacy till fill my scripts. I should not have to beg a pharmacist to call insurance card on back to fill order when they run into an issue. That’s their job. Pathetic that I can’t count on my hometown pharmacy to fill scripts and provide great customer service. Will never walk in that pharmacy again."
"I have been going to the Walgreens in Old Lyme for over 8 years; and have had the best customer experience out of any store I go to - most notably the pharmacy. At one point I still stayed with this pharmacy when I was living 3 towns away due to Scott, Sharon, Lopa and Diane’s interaction with me. This team of four is the epitome of a pharmacist and customer relationship. I was very close to leaving Walgreens during the transition from Rite Aide; as I was so frustrated with its phone line refill system constantly giving wrong information. Yet, for over 5 months I would call Scott, Sharon and Lopa to sort it out and they did with a smile and great attitude. Once again, this week Scott helped me and worked with my insurance company to make things right. Thanks Guys! Ted Childs Old Lyme, CT"
