"These guys have ALWAYS been so helpful and patient. They really know their stuff. What we like about the takes is that they are not all sharing the same water from one tank to the next. No rs8k of other fish, in different tanks, getting sick. With that said, their fish always look healthy. Been going there for years. Was going to the Meriden store. Now they are in Wallingford, about 2 years now."

"Very knowledgeable staff. Big selection, but not much in the way of unique species. Was hoping they had Thai micro crabs, but they didn't. They did however have some dwarf freshwater lobsters. Some of their prices were high- like they charge a dollar per ghost shrimp but I get them 2 for a dollar near Springfield MA. Overall I'd say it was worth the hour drive just to check them out, though."

"Love the new location. And it's closer. Makes me spend more. I'm sure they like that. Plus the store itself is great. This place must dominate the aquarium hobby in a big radius. There aren't exactly a lot of options in this hobby and the few other places you can go don't specialize in this anyways and don't have the same quality of care in my opinion for their livestock. Great selection, fair prices, knowledgeable friendly staff. The owner has been in the hobby for a long time now. He's come a long way. What else can I say. I enjoy every visit. Keep it up!"

"I wish I could rate Blakes more than 5 stars. They have the best prices, the highest quality fish, and the best fish food. I have bought 3 Snails from them, and 10 neon tetras. All of the animals I have bought from Blakes are still alive, and they are thriving. My neon tetras are brighter than ever, and they have hrown significantly in size. I now buy all of my fish food and tank supplements from Blakes. They are always ready to answer any questions, and they give very helpful answers. I have attached pictures of my snails and the food I bought from the store. I also attached pictures of the fish I saw while I was at the store. It is like an aquarium! Edit: I just went to Blakes Aqua Den today and bought a nice new lid for my 10 gallon aquarium. It fits like a glove and looks fantastic. It was being sold for a great price. "Phenomenal fish store with phenomenal people. Blake & Brandon have tons of knowledge as well as all of the other employees. They are extra friendly and welcoming and I can’t think of a better place to visit if you want to start fish keeping or are already in the hobby. Highly recommend :)"
