"check in was very fast and easy, the young lady at the front desk, aurora, was amazing!! such a sweetheart! rooms were very clean and comfy! a little noisy due to the train, but that’s obvious, due to it being so close, not a problem. my kids loved hearing the train blow the horn."

"Stayed in a room for guests traveling with pets. We had 1 older dog with us. The room was generally clean but smelled of dog urine and the tubs wouldn't drain. The location is terrible. Right next to train tracks and the airport. We heard gun shots outside our window at 4:30am and could not go back to sleep. The air conditioner/heater was very old and woke us up every time it turned on. The staff was pleasant and seemed to be doing the best with what they had. Overall I did not feel safe staying at this location and wouldn't go back."

"Very disappointed. Intentionally booked a room here for a night to spend with my girlfriend away from home as a self treat for us before the holiday crazy season started. Paid $70 to board the dog and booked this place specifically because in the best Western website it mentions and has pictures of the bar and restaurant on premise. There is no bar or restaurant on premise, and our room was in the back, literally 30 feet from the quite active Amtrak tracks, which is loud enough to wake even me from a sound sleep several times. Besides that the staff was nonchalant, the halls smelled overwhelmingly of cleaner which I'm sure was masking something disgusting, the door to the courtyard didn't lock and the beds were hard as a rock. Spend the extra $50 and just stay in one of the nicer places in New Haven or go up interstate 91 two exits north and get a room there. This place will be a homeless/immigrant/ crack motel within 2 years. Really pisses me off I paid $143 for this dissapointment. Walt Bradley, room 121 in 12/9/23"

"I was not impressed staying at this hotel. Check-in time here is at 3:00 p.m. When I arrived at 3:20 p.m., my room was still not ready. I had to wait up to about 30 minutes to get my room key. When I asked what the hold was up, I was told by the front desk concierge that this hotel is short staffed. The hotel's limited staffing is not my issue. In Addition, the walls are paper thin (I heard people having conversations as they were camping out in the hallways all hours of the night. The bed in my room had a low supporting mattress (very uncomfortable). The bathtub kept over filling with water to my feet as I was taking a shower (I think the drain system in the bathroom was broken or something. The curtains in my room were broken and did not close properly. The refrigerator does not get cold enough, and the bath towels feel very rough on my skin when I use them (I can tell there are cheap material. The prices they advertised to stay here are not worth it. I will not be returning to this hotel because I did not enjoy my stay here."

"CAUTION! STAY OFF THE FIRST FLOOR and CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD. !!! Check in 8/24-26 for a funeral with a prepaid room! We arrived early and was willing to pay a early check in fee but they were not ready!!!Received a call on the way to the funeral that we were schedule to check out that day! I explained that we had a confirmation of 2 day already paid. After the back and forth it was agreed that we would stay the till the already paid day of checkout. But by this time they had charge my credit card a 4 time! Upon returning as we pulled up to the hotel that evening we notice a room with the curtain drawn back fully open and the light on!!!! Yelp it was our room on the first floor where all of our belongs were exposed and someone had been in our room. I was LIVID!!! One front desk personnel took pics on how we found our exposed room and did the best that she could. Then a manager?? on duty came to our room as I had to repeat myself about what had happen. She then double checked my contact information and stated someone would contact me. There was no filter of being sorry for what had happen. I get it! If it was anyone else she would have been all sympathetic. It is 8/30/2023! No CONTACT AND MY CREDIT CARD IS STILL PENDING! I believe if I was anyone else this would not been handled this way! This is absolutely unacceptable and yes I am expecting a resolution! This post will travel to social media shortly if I don't receive one."
