Maketu School

Welcome to Maketu School, a small rural institution located in the picturesque coastal settlement of Maketu, New Zealand. Situated at Maketu, School Road, 8, our school is a point of interest for both locals and visitors.

At Te Kura o Maketu, we provide education for Year 1-6 students, offering a junior class called Takaparore and a senior class called Ōkurei. With an approximate roll of 40 students, our school provides a close-knit and supportive learning environment. Our dedicated staff members are experienced and passionate educators who are committed to ensuring that each child reaches their full potential.

Our vision for Maketu School is to establish it as a renowned learning institution - Kia tū rangatira ai. We strive to create an environment that encourages our students to become confident, engaged, and life-long learners. By implementing various opportunities, both academically and culturally, we aim to help our students reach their full potential.
