EIT Health Centre is a branch of the Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) in New Zealand, known as Te Aho a Māui. As the tertiary provider for Hawke’s Bay and the East Coast, EIT offers a wide range of programs across more than 160 postgraduate, degree, diploma, and certificate levels. Our campuses in Hawke’s Bay, Tairāwhiti (Gisborne), and Auckland are equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, allowing students to learn in a modern and conducive environment. Additionally, we have Regional Learning Centres in Hastings, Maraenui, Ruatoria, Tokomaru Bay, Waipukurau, and Wairoa, enabling students to study closer to home.

Furthermore, EIT actively engages in research projects to address important issues in the community. For example, our local research project focuses on combating youth vaping among intermediate and high school students in Hawke’s Bay, receiving funding support. We also provide hands-on industry experience for horticulture students through the restoration of an orchard devastated by Cyclone Gabrielle.
