Reviews of Taylors Mistake Beach
"The beach is nice even during winter. There's a big walk 1.45h one way so it's best to come early. Otherwise just spend about 30mins to walk around the beach. There are showers and toilets. The road going here is very, very windy and there are roadworks that adds extra 5-10min drive."
"Taylor's mistake walk offers fantastic and easy level hiking with breathtaking views of the coastal area. It's essential to come prepared with plenty of sunscreen, as the main paths lack shades."
"It’s one of the remote, but most spectacular beaches in town. Not too crowded, especially if you come weekday or early morning. It’s bit stone sand in water, so recommend special wet shoes, but if you don’t plan to swim just chill out in the beach. It’s not very big, but enough room to chill down. If you’re after nice and quiet beach it may be perfect spot. Nearby parking has restrooms, showers and even ice truck on a weekend. You really need a car to get here, as there is no public transportation on those tiny, windy roads."
"Absolutely love this place. 15 minute drive from the city. Plenty of surfing to be had. Godley heads walk starts here. My most favourite walk"
"This is tucked away location over the hills is a great beach to chill at , dies sometimes get bus.It also has a awesome walking track and beautiful views so if i was you I'd recommend checking it out for yourself . There's fishing spots aswell bit of a track to seek good position but I do recommend to be careful because it is abit of a climb and can often seem abit scarey as there are cliff drops. I love this place and highly recommend to everyone to visit"
