Welcome to Cashmere Medical Practice, located at 215 Ashgrove Terrace in Cashmere, Christchurch. We are a trusted and reliable institution that has been serving our local community since opening our doors in late 1991. Our practice is led by Dr David Rollinson, who is dedicated to providing high-quality care to you and your family.

As a locally owned and family-oriented practice, we have deep roots in the community and a long history of serving our patients. Dr Sandra Fountain, a highly experienced GP and practice owner for 14 years, is passionate about all aspects of general practice. Growing up in Hornby, Christchurch, she attended the local primary school and Villa Maria College. Despite initial plans of becoming a shorthand typist, she followed her passion to become a doctor. Dr Fountain enjoys reading, gardening, and playing badminton in her free time. With three adult sons, she understands the needs of families and is committed to providing comprehensive care.

Dr Isla Gilmore joined Cashmere Medical Practice in 2020, having completed her GP training in Cromwell. She is a fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of GPs and holds postgraduate qualifications in General Practice and Women's Health. Dr Gilmore finds building long-lasting relationships with her patients particularly rewarding and enjoys all aspects of general practice. She also serves as a Medical Educator, teaching first-year GP registrars.

We are thrilled to welcome Dr Hai Sue Kang to Cashmere Medical Practice. Dr Kang has a wealth of experience, having worked as a hospital doctor in New Zealand and abroad before pursuing specialist training in General Practice in Christchurch. As a GP registrar, she appreciates the continuity of care and the wide range of medical cases that General Practice offers. Dr Kang is also a Health Pathways Clinical Editor, advocating for primary care as a fundamental pillar of a quality, holistic, and equitable healthcare system. She is excited to call New Zealand home and is currently building a nest in Lyttelton for her young family.

In the event that we are closed, rest assured that 24-hour service is provided by the 24 Hour Surgery, located at 401 Madras St (entrance on the left just before Bealey Ave). You can reach them at 365 7777. Our practice phone number will be answered after hours by the staff at Whakarongorau (previously Homecare Medical).
