STEAM-ED Charitable Trust

Welcome to STEAM-ED Charitable Trust, located at 671 Cameron Road in Tauranga, New Zealand. As an establishment and point of interest, we are dedicated to providing integrated science, technology, engineering, arts, and maths (STEAM) education for young people.

Our fun and hands-on classes run for eight weeks each school term, offering extra-curricular education to children aged 5 to 13. Through a range of topics, we aim to teach them about science, technology, and robotics. This term, we will transform the kitchen into a laboratory of innovation and creativity, exploring the wonders of chemistry, plant-based technologies, and turning ordinary ingredients into extraordinary creations. Students will have the opportunity to create useful items and delicious treats while gaining an understanding of the science behind everyday items. From soap-making to eco-friendly cleaning product formulation and crafting natural body care products, our classes offer a unique learning experience.

In addition to our term-time classes, we also run school holiday programs throughout the year. These programs focus on robotics and other exciting science-related topics. Children can enroll for certain days or the entire week, and MSD subsidies are available for eligible families.

At STEAM-ED, we believe in making STEAM education accessible to all young people. That's why we offer outreach programs in the community, providing funded education classes to those who may not usually engage in extra-curricular education.

Furthermore, we offer professional development sessions for teachers on pre-arranged topics. These sessions can accommodate groups of up to 15 teachers and can be held at your school or our venue. We welcome your inquiries for your next professional development session.

Our mission at STEAM-ED is to provide open, equitable, high-quality, and affordable education services that allow students to explore and question using STEAM-related fields as a catalyst for inspiration, both now and in the future. We work hand in hand with the community to deliver education services to people from all walks of life, ensuring a STEAM-focused future for everyone.
