Sally, the Owner and Lead Teacher/Coach, has over 25 years of experience in practicing Pilates. Having previously worked in New Zealand, New York, and London, she now brings her expertise to Tauranga, New Zealand. Sally is passionate about witnessing the transformative effects of Pilates on her clients' bodies, helping them regain confidence and freedom from aches and pains. Her teaching style is down-to-earth, straightforward, and infused with compassion, positivity, and humor. She will challenge you to get the most out of your lessons, while also ensuring a supportive and enjoyable experience.
In addition to her Pilates qualifications, Sally is a certified Buff Bones Instructor and has a strong focus on bone health. She has personally experienced the benefits of Pilates in improving bone density, even when doctors deemed it impossible. Keep an eye out for her Bone Health classes, where she shares her knowledge and expertise in this area.
Outside of the studio, Sally enjoys spending time in her garden, at the beach, or with her husband, teenage daughter, and Mum in Rotorua. She is also a U.K. certified Nutrition Advisor and Red Cross First Aider, holding a Bachelor of Management Studies from Waikato University in New Zealand.

"I started out with in person classes with Sally a couple of years ago and then transitioned to Zoom last year. I can honestly say that I feel I get the same level of teaching via Zoom as in person, she doesn't miss anything so you can't take it easy behind your computer screen! I've taken Pilates lessons before with other teachers and I realize now that I was actually being taught 'Pilates style' of exercises but Sally teaches proper Pilates. She is great at working to different levels of ability so if you want to work at the bleeding edge of you are capable of you can. I've done many things now that I never expected my body to be able to do! She is great at suggesting adaptations if you have a sore shoulder, knee etc. I've gained a new appreciation for my posture and how to feel my muscles working during exercises and the impact they have on the movements. Sally provides an easy narrative as you are exercising to explain what muscles are being used and how to make sure you are getting the most out of the movement. I currently do 3 Zoom classes a week - including an intermediate mat class and a 30 minute core class and I love them both and finish feeling exhausted sometimes but absolutely great!"
