St Albans Playcentre

Welcome to St Albans Playcentre, located at 96 Philpotts Road in Christchurch, New Zealand. At St Albans Playcentre, we offer a unique early childhood education experience where both children and their parents/caregivers attend together.

Our Playcentre provides a fun and safe environment for children to learn and explore. We believe in nurturing the curiosity and creativity of our tamariki (children), allowing them to discover more about themselves and the world around them.

Your child will have the opportunity to engage in a wide range of activities, including exploring, creating, climbing, reading, singing, experimenting, playing music, dressing up in costumes, face painting, gardening, carpentry with real tools, baking and cooking, building sandcastles, swinging, sliding, dancing, spending time in nature, and getting messy! Every day brings new and exciting activities for our little learners.

What sets us apart is the diverse range of skills, interests, and cultural backgrounds that our Playcentre parents bring to the learning environment. This enriches the experience for everyone involved and creates a truly inclusive and vibrant community.

We welcome families with children aged 0 to 6 years. Our mixed-age play allows children to interact with peers who are both older and younger than themselves, fostering communication, sharing, and empathy.

At St Albans Playcentre, families come together, and lifelong friendships are formed. We encourage you to visit us at any time throughout the year. As a new family, you are entitled to three free visits, so you can experience firsthand what we have to offer. We would be thrilled to meet you and your family!
