Broadfield School

Welcome to Broadfield School, a small rural primary school located on the outskirts of Christchurch, New Zealand. Established in 1868, we have a rich history and strong connections to our local area and community. Our institution caters to students in Years 1 to 8, providing them with a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.

At Broadfield School, we value the importance of whanau (family) and the wider community. We believe that their involvement and support are crucial in the holistic development of our students. Our motto, "Dig Deep," embodies our school's vision and is reflected in our logo, the plough. We encourage our students to strive for their personal best, both inside and outside the classroom. Broadfield School takes pride in its connection to the land and the local area. Our pēpeha (traditional Maori saying) reflects this connection, acknowledging Te Ahu Patiki (Mt Herbert) as our mountain, Te Waihora (Ellesmere) as our lake, and Waikirikiri (Selwyn) as our river. We are proud to be the people of Broadfield School.
