"I don't drink much myself but this is such a friendly store! Thanks for the welcome. So clean, tidy and well organised too!"
"Dont be fooled by 3 stars. Its a very solid 3 stars. I mean, i gave ol mate my pingas and he gave me some beersies. 3 & 1/2 stars."
"Not a huge store but big enough to give you a wide variety of drinks. Friendly staff. They also have bowls of water outside for those that take pets with them as they too like a drink. Not much parking directly out front but a large carpark all around."
"Lovely staff. Always clean and tidy. Amazing presentation. Definitely go out of way to shop here wouldn't go anywhere else. Keep up the amazing work. Best liquor store in Christchurch."
"I see this comment was removed - thanks google I want to leave a review of the bad experience here, to explain why I will not be coming back here and to warn potential customers of the silly witch who works here. She has zero concern about you and has the worst customer service relations. So I had my car in for a service at the mechanic next store and we got talking and he was saying how great the craft beer on tap was at the super liquor next store, great I thought, I’m a first time visitor from out of town and I was keen to buy some. Last week I had just visited speights brewery in Dunedin and two weeks before that, tui brewery in mangitonoka. Obviously I’m walking in I try to be pleasant and remarked how nice their tap selection is. Nice craft beer on tap, she flatly told me only 3 samples are allowed to be had. Ok great hopefully I can find something nice, there are 15 selections possible. Firstly I tried the blood moon IPA, too hoppy for my taste, next another hazy beer which is not quite there, next the Harington, slightly too sour, not quite enough that I can justify the $9+ for the 1.25L. Ok fair enough I’ve had the 3 samples and then proceed to buy a $20+ Sauvignon Blanc and two cans of Guinness as they don’t have Kilkenny or any other selection of beer I’m interested in. I then asked when could I try my next three samples because I want to keep going till I find something nice. Well that’s a big no no, how dare I ask for a sample, she simply retorted “next time”. Ok I live out of town, i then asked when exactly is that, she snapped and said “on your next visit”. Ok, “so I could walk out and come back in then?” “No that wouldn’t work sorry”, “ok how about tomorrow then?” I asked. Oh no “you can’t do that, and if you keep coming back and not buying then we won’t give you any.” What the heck is wrong with this woman? I have to determine exactly what beer I would like to buy within 3 samples and if I dare come back and by then haven’t determined which one I like she will not let me try any. I live out of town, so 15 divided by 3 is 5. Ok so I can back five times and hopefully before then I might find something I like. However she didn’t have to add insult to injury and state “if you keep coming back and don’t buy any we won’t give you any” Anyway I give this store 0 stars if I could, simply put she treated me like a homeless beggar off the street who had nothing better to do than waste her precious time and precious sips of craft beer. I purchased over $30 of alcohol that visit, just not the tap craft beer because I couldn’t determine what was nice enough and if I ever go back I will have to put up with her sour attitude and contempt."
