"I've been shopping here weekly for my family for the last two years. As I was paying for my items the manager checked my bags to see if I've been stealing. That's not a great way to treat regular customers. I spend 300 per week here but will take my shopping to the many other supermarkets in ChCh. Judging by the rundown store that doesn't even have self checkouts I think they need more regular customers. With service like they have now it will never happen"

"Well i know this lovely market for over 15 year...i moved out of town 6 years ago and today was in the area and hoped in..I was SHOKED...totally run down!! Shelf falling appart! Milk shelf dirty on the ba k wall!! Products very untidy in the shelfs everywhere!!! I am soo sad, was a neat,tidy, lovely shop with excellent customer service....but not anymore.Sad."

"Avonhead mall is small but good enough for buying small stuff, supermarket is small, there is a bookshop with postshop, florist, hairdresser, coffee shop, chemist and gift shop. Outside the mall are a few more shops."
