Along this road, you'll find ample parking spaces, making it convenient for visitors to enjoy a picnic lunch while taking in the awe-inspiring view from this elevated vantage point.
Minden Lookout is now more accessible to families with children, featuring a multi-level structure with open-air and covered areas. This public establishment is equipped with picnic tables and circular metal maps displaying nearby islands and locations. It has become a popular destination for local tour operators, attracting visitors from near and far.

The Minden Lookout was handed over to the Tauranga County Council by the Omokoroa-Te Puna Lions Club on October 28th, 1978. It took this dedicated club 21 months to construct the lookout, with members committing nearly 2000 hours of voluntary work to complete the project.
Located a short 15-minute drive from the city center, Minden Lookout is easily accessible. Simply turn left onto Minden Road at the Te Puna roundabout, and you'll soon find yourself immersed in the natural beauty and awe-inspiring vistas that await you.
