At the helm of our institution is Professor Rodrigo Teixeira, hailing from the vibrant city of Rio De Janeiro, Brazil. His journey in Jiu Jitsu began at the young age of 12 under the guidance of his brother, Professor Pedro Carvalho. In 1995, Rodrigo made the move to the United States, becoming one of the pioneering BJJ instructors to introduce the gentle art to the states.

Rodrigo's dedication and skill in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu led him to achieve his Black Belt at the remarkable age of 21. Recently, he has been promoted to the prestigious rank of 5th Degree Black Belt, a testament to his expertise and commitment to the art.

Passionate about sharing his knowledge and love for BJJ, Rodrigo has trained individuals from all walks of life, including UFC fighters, military personnel, and law enforcement officers. He has conducted numerous seminars across 26 countries, spreading the beauty and effectiveness of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu around the world.

What sets Professor Rodrigo apart is his ability to balance teaching and competing. Throughout his 24-year career, he has amassed an impressive collection of championship titles, including victories in Pan Ams, European Championship, King of the Cage MMA, South American Championship, American Nationals, and various IBJJF championships.

Rodrigo's teaching style is a blend of traditional and modern techniques. As an active competitor, his game is always evolving and up to date, while still honoring the roots of Grand Master Helio Gracie's Jiu Jitsu by incorporating self-defense aspects into his teachings.
