Katikati Playcentre

Welcome to Katikati Playcentre! Located at Binnie Road in Katikati, New Zealand, our establishment is a unique early childhood education institution that offers a one-of-a-kind experience for both children and their parents/caregivers.

At Katikati Playcentre, children have the opportunity to learn and explore in a fun and safe environment. We believe in nurturing the curiosity and creativity of our tamariki (children) by providing them with the tools and resources they need to learn about themselves and the world around them.

Your child will have the chance to engage in a wide range of activities, including exploration, creation, climbing, reading, singing, experimenting, playing music, dressing up in costumes, face painting (or doing it themselves!), gardening, carpentry with real tools, baking and cooking, building sandcastles, swinging, sliding, dancing, spending time in nature, and getting messy. With activities changing every day, there is always something new and exciting to discover.

One of the unique aspects of our Playcentre is the involvement of parents. Playcentre parents bring a diverse range of skills, interests, and cultural backgrounds, which adds to the rich learning environment. We believe that mixed age play is essential for the development of your child. By interacting with children of different ages, your child will learn valuable communication, sharing, and negotiation skills, while also developing empathy for their younger peers.

Beyond the educational benefits, Katikati Playcentre is a place where families come together and lifelong friendships are formed. We encourage you to visit us at any time during the year. In fact, we offer three free visits for you to come and see what we do. We would love to meet you and your family!
