Welcome to Tauranga Waldorf School & Rose Ring Kindergartens, located at 364 Welcome Bay Road in Tauranga, New Zealand. As an establishment and point of interest, our institution is dedicated to providing a nurturing environment that cherishes childhood and fosters the holistic development of children.

At Tauranga Waldorf School, we believe in the power of imagination and the importance of physical skills, critical thinking, and social relationships. Our 16-acre campus offers a playground wonderland where children from birth to Year 8 can embark on exciting childhood adventures. One of our unique features is the outdoor classroom and bush kindergarten, which provide enriching learning experiences in nature.

We are committed to empowering our students to become self-directed, reflective, and self-aware learners. Our learning programs, school environment, and approach to growth and development are carefully designed to support this goal. As parents, you will be our partners in providing a Steiner/Waldorf education that celebrates natural and joyous learning.

Our primary school children share the campus with three kindergartens, a nursery group, a parent and child group, and a range of beloved animals, including chickens, cows, and kune kune pigs. This creates a vibrant and inclusive community where children can learn and care for the environment together.

We invite you to join us for a special event on Saturday, July 1st. We will be using the biodynamic preparation 501 to strengthen our plants and bring balance after the recent wet weather. The stirring will begin at 6.30 am, just before sunrise, and will be followed by a gathering at the shelter at the end of the backfield at 8.15 am.

If you have friends or family who are interested in our kindergartens, we encourage you to invite them to one of our Information Afternoons. No registration is required; simply park at the top car park and report to reception upon arrival. Our staff will guide you to the meeting room. Please make alternative care arrangements for your children during this time.

Our academic year is divided into four terms, with Term 1 starting on Tuesday, January 31st, and ending on Thursday, April 6th. Term 2 runs from Wednesday, April 26th, to Friday, June 30th. Term 3 starts on Monday, July 17th, and concludes on Friday, September 22nd. Finally, Term 4 begins on Monday, October 9th, and ends on Thursday, December 15th.
