Situated with direct access to one of Auckland's finest regional parks and boasting sweeping views across the Hauraki Gulf, our lodge is perfectly positioned to cater to a diverse range of groups seeking outdoor education and adventure.

Whether you are a school camp, community group, family gathering, or corporate team, The Y Shakespear Lodge has everything you need for an unforgettable outdoor education experience. From comfortable accommodation to excellent facilities, we ensure that your stay with us is not only educational but also fun-filled.

In addition to catering to school camps, community and corporate groups, we also offer The Y holiday programs. These programs provide extensive outdoor activities to keep your youngsters engaged and entertained during school holidays.

Our tailored outdoor programs cater to primary, intermediate, and secondary schools, offering both residential and day visits. Accommodation is available for groups ranging from 20 to 84 people, with cabin-style dorms sleeping between 4 and 11 people. Our rooms are located in the original Shakespear homestead, as well as additional cabins in a nearby building.

At Shakespear Lodge, our trained staff deliver a wide range of outdoor activities, including land-based adventures such as mountain boarding, archery, and climbing, as well as coastal and water activities like kayaking, sailing, and the Coastguard's safe boating program. We have multiple spaces available, including a dining room, recreation hall with AV equipment, and 'the barn,' ensuring that we can accommodate your specific needs.

To complement your stay, our excellent catering service is available and can be adapted to the dietary preferences and requirements of your group. Our kitchen holds an 'A grade' food safety rating from the council and is fully equipped with a wide range of appliances, utensils, cutlery, crockery, tea towels, and cleaning materials.
