Welcome to Little Coasties by Busy Bees, located in the beautiful coastal town of Whangaparāoa, Auckland, New Zealand. At Busy Bees, we understand the importance of your child's education and care, and we value each child as a unique and special taonga.

Our center offers a nurturing and enriching environment for your little one, where they can enjoy the fresh ocean breezes, unhurried routines, and individual attention. We believe in utilizing a diverse range of natural resources and age-appropriate materials to create teachable moments and happy, learning-focused experiences. Our spacious facility allows children to explore and discover at their own pace.

One of the highlights of our center is our proximity to the local beach, just a 2-minute stroll away. This shared outdoor space has become an extension of our own backyard, providing endless opportunities for enriched learning experiences. Our passionate teachers regularly take the children on excursions to the beach, where they can investigate rock pools, care for the environment by picking up rubbish, and collect natural resources for our center.

At Little Coasties, we prioritize nourishing food for your child's well-being. Our in-house cook prepares freshly made meals each day, following our Nourish menus and recipes based on the New Zealand Heart Foundation's Healthy Heart Award. We believe that through healthy and delicious meals, children are fueled to thrive physically and mentally, while also enjoying the benefits of coming together and connecting as a group during mealtimes.

In addition to nutritious meals, our teachers engage the children in regular baking activities. This hands-on experience allows them to develop important skills such as food preparation, fine motor movements, and simple math concepts. It's a sensory experience that fosters independence and self-help skills.

We believe that children are reflective thinkers and explorers, and through their choices and play-based experiences, their capabilities grow. Our curriculum at Little Coasties reflects our philosophy of strong relationships, involving parents, teachers, whānau (extended family), children, and our wonderful community.

Our Babies room focuses on supporting and empowering unique individuals, laying foundations for capable and confident learners. We provide a safe environment, promote well-being and belonging, and follow a primary care system for secure attachments and meeting needs within the Little Coasties community.

In our Toddler space, our focus is on creating a fun, safe, and nurturing learning environment. We encourage children to make choices, take risks, engage in various play activities, and develop independence and self-help skills. Our dedicated teachers support each child's well-being and nurture their individual interests.

For our preschoolers, we provide a preschool community where respectful and reciprocal relationships are the foundation. We work alongside whānau to strengthen our connections and celebrate children's achievements and uniqueness. Through play-based learning opportunities, we prepare children for their transition to school and support their holistic development.
