Welcome to Wainuiomata Playcentre, a vibrant and inclusive early childhood education centre located in Lower Hutt, Lees Grove. At Wainuiomata Playcentre, we cater to tamariki (children) aged 0-6, providing them with a nurturing and supportive environment to learn and grow.

As a strongly connected whānau (family) community, we prioritize the needs of our tamariki and work together to support each other. One unique aspect of our centre is that our tamariki attend with their siblings, allowing them to develop lifelong skills of nurturing and empathy from an early age.

Belonging is at the heart of our centre, and we strive to create an environment where our tamariki feel a strong sense of belonging. This enables them to confidently explore and direct their own learning, fostering their independence and curiosity. Our dedicated member parents and supervisors play a crucial role in supporting our tamariki's learning experiences and have a strong relationship with them.

Join us on Tuesdays for our bilingual session, where whānau can enjoy waiata (songs) and develop a growing understanding of Te Reo Māori, the indigenous language of New Zealand. Our kaiako (teachers) provide guidance and support in this journey, creating a culturally rich and inclusive learning environment.
