Welcome to Days Bay Playcentre, a small and vibrant institution located in the heart of beautiful Days Bay, Wellington. As an establishment, point of interest, and school, we pride ourselves on our relaxed and inclusive ethos, welcoming anyone to come and join in on the fun, not just moms!

At Days Bay Playcentre, our sessions are child-led, allowing activities to be created on the spot based on the interests of the tamariki (children) attending. Our tamariki love engaging in a wide range of activities, from making gloop to playing in our huge covered sandpit. They enjoy blowing child-size bubbles, swinging, climbing, and even observing and interacting with our local insects. And of course, we always make time for morning tea, where we come together in a relaxed, home-like setting to sing, read stories, and share news.

One of the unique aspects of Days Bay Playcentre is that children of all ages, from 0 to 5, play together. This provides a wonderful opportunity for them to support each other's learning through play and develop important social skills that they can carry with them into the next stages of their lives.

Our institution is not just for the tamariki; it is also a place for adults to accompany them. We welcome moms, dads, nanas, grandads, and nannys to join us. Days Bay Playcentre is a fantastic place to enjoy a cuppa, meet other families, and let your little ones make a mess outside of your home!
