Welcome to Pukeatua Primary School & Community Emergency Hub, located at 19 Frederick Street in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. Our institution is not just a school, but also a point of interest and a vital establishment within the community.

Situated in the beautiful northern part of the Wainuiomata valley, Pukeatua School was established in 2002 through the merger of Glendale and Pencarrow Schools. As a full primary school, we cater to students aged 5 to 13 years, from year 1 to year 8. We offer a range of general classroom programs, as well as a unique opportunity for total immersion Maori learning.

Our total immersion Maori learning option allows students to fully embrace the Maori language and culture. Through this program, students develop a deep understanding and appreciation for the rich heritage of New Zealand's indigenous people. We believe that by embracing cultural diversity, we can create a stronger and more inclusive society.

In addition to our academic programs, Pukeatua Primary School is also a designated Community Emergency Hub.
