Welcome to Waterloo School & Community Emergency Hub, located at 26 Hardy Street in Lower Hutt, New Zealand. As a primary school and a point of interest in the area, we are committed to empowering our tamariki (children) and equipping them with the skills and traits necessary to become lifelong learners and positive citizens.

We believe that strong connections are vital, both to the land and to each other. Our school is deeply connected to our community, which is reflected in our logo. The red W symbolizes Waterloo School and represents a bird taking flight, symbolizing the empowerment of each child to embark on their own unique educational journey. It also signifies the bloodline of the school running through the community, highlighting the close bond we share.

We have an open-door policy and warmly invite you to visit our school at any time. Come and take a look around, or join us in one of the many activities we offer. We believe that a strong partnership between home and school is essential for the success of our students, and we welcome the involvement and support of our parents and caregivers.

Please note that for the safety of our students, bicycles and scooters must be walked through the school grounds between 8:30 am and 3:15 pm. Additionally, only staff members and vehicles displaying a mobility permit are allowed to use the staff car park.

Our school operates on a term basis, with Term Two running from 24th April to 30th June, Term Three from 17th July to 22nd September, and Term Four from 9th October to 15th December.
