"I've lived in Stokes Valley over 10 years now, and Town & Country Food has always been my go to place for solid, basic, takeaway, or sit down foods. The food quality is very good, prices are great, and the service is excellent."
"Service was great. I had eggs Benedict. The bread was doghy and not warm or toasted. The bacon was undercooked, and the food came out warm. Coffee was good."
"Bought a pie like usually do got steak and pepper had lumps of un dried pepper corns made me throw up went back for refund got talked behind my back in different language laugh at and told that was the pie I picked so my own fault pretty much will ne er be going back rip off bakery"
"Used to be a regular here 6+ years ago when I lived in the 'hood - the food was good for the price and a good level of service. Things have changed. The 'welcome' from the miserable staffer behind the till was unnecessary, and the chicken pieces in the warmer next to me looked like they were reheated in the deep fryer numerous times until they were barely recognisable. Being morning, and based on their history I ordered a 'P24' aka Eggs Benedict and a caramel thick-shake. The 'shake arrived, luke warm and it appears they've used an artificial thickener to make. Not much ice cream or cold milk present. Also, the lid must have been cracked because it leaked all down my front. The EB came after too-long a wait with just-cooked eggs and way too many spinach stalks. Notwithstanding the unnecessary lattice work of the Kato hollandaise, eggs-aside it wasn't bad considering the $12.90 paid. This place used to be a winner, with consistency levels to match a certain Scottish hamburger restaurant, but no more. Poor service, dodgy-looking chicken and a rubbish thick-shake means even 2-stars is generous."
"I have given a 4 star because I did not try anything new to me. However, service was fast. They mainly focus on meals with a small variety of bakery goods. Very tasty and exactly how i like my bacon cooked - no crunchiness. Meals are standard size but can upsize or change/swap items Will definitely be back to try new dishes."
