At Du Fermier, our talented chef Annie creates a seasonal menu every weekend, ensuring that each dish reflects the freshest produce harvested from our garden or carefully selected from our store cupboard. Whether plated or shared, our dishes are designed to be enjoyed in the company of friends and family, adding a warm and communal touch to your dining experience.
We offer a 4-course set menu priced at $120 per person, allowing you to savor a range of delectable flavors. To enhance your culinary adventure, we also offer the option to enjoy our carefully procured wine list, with matched wines available for an additional $80 per person.

As we focus on a set menu, it is essential to provide advance notice for any dietary requirements. If dairy consumption is a concern, we recommend considering your reservation, as Annie often incorporates responsibly sourced organic dairy products into her cooking.
To ensure a seamless reservation process, please note that online reservations open on the 1st of each month at 8.00 am, two months in advance. For example, on the 1st of October at 8.00 am, you can make reservations for the month of December. Please keep in mind that we are unable to accept reservations for groups larger than eight diners.
In light of the current circumstances, we kindly request that you refrain from visiting us if you are feeling unwell. Entry may be refused to visitors showing signs of illness, as we prioritize the health and safety of our staff and patrons.
While we strive to accommodate changes to existing reservations, please understand that availability is dependent on the requested table size, date, and time. We require 24-hour notice for any cancellations. As a small regional restaurant, we face challenges in replacing no-shows, and failure to advise of decreased numbers or cancellation will result in a 50% payment for the reserved meal.
Lastly, we would like to respectfully acknowledge and express our gratitude to the Dja Dja Wurrung People, the Traditional owners of the land on which Du Fermier and Babbington Park are situated. We pay our respects to the First Nations Peoples and their elders, both past and present, as we appreciate the rich history and culture of this land.

"My wife and I recently visited and had a thoroughly amazing experience. We were warmly welcomed by the staff and seated in a cosy spot near the fireplace. First course was a delightful soup (ham hock and vegetables) which evoked senses of cold winter's days in a French farmhouse. As someone who loves his bread, what a pleasant surprise it was to have house baked baguettes accompany this dish. A delightful bowl of duck egg ravioli stuffed with cheese followed the soup. It was smooth, melted in your mouth and was just enough to make you wanting more. The roast chicken main was the most succulent bird we had ever tasted and was accompanied by roast vegetables from Annie's farm. We opted for a sweet chocolate dessert which ended the meal on a perfect note. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we walked in and were pleasantly surprised when Annie served the soup and had a chat about the produce and how she prepares here food for her diners. On departure, we thanked Annie for her hospitality and food and were given a nice sweet treat to take with us. She was also generous enough to give us another baguette to take home! We will definitely be back (with the whole family)."

"Dined for lunch. Our 4 course menu consisted of cauliflower appetiser, pork terrine entree, duck leg main with serving of potato & I had the cheese dessert whilst hubby opted for the meringue. Special mention to the homemade bread Annie bakes as it was wonderful on its own with butter & also to soak up the sauce from the duck main. All the food was beautifully presented & tasted delicious. We got to meet Annie also as she bought out the appetiser. A very lovely & talented woman. I had a few homemade lemon cordial drinks also which was refreshing. Service from the wait staff was very welcoming & friendly. Loved the special take home gift also, such a beautiful touch & a perfect way to end a perfect lunch. I've wanted to do this lunch experience for a long time & was delighted when we finally got a booking. Recommend as a wonderful way to enjoy a fine dining lunch experience in Trentham & hope to return again in the future."
