Welcome to Dr Tummy - Dr Nir Fireman Paediatric Gastroenterologist, located at 3 MacMurray Road, Auckland. As a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist, I provide specialized care to children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers, who are experiencing various digestive issues. In addition to my practice in Auckland, I also see patients at the Cambridge Specialist Centre in Waikato/ Bay of Plenty.

With a background in paediatrics and further specialization in paediatric gastroenterology from Israel, I bring a wealth of experience to my practice. Prior to working in private practice, I served as a consultant at Starship Children's Hospital. I am committed to providing the highest standard of care to my patients.

During my time as an intern at the renowned Edith Wolfson Medical Centre, I had the privilege of learning from Professor Arie Levine and dietitian Rotem Sigall-Boneh, the pioneers of the Crohn's Disease Exclusion Diet (CDED). This revolutionary eating plan has brought relief to many Crohn's Disease sufferers worldwide. I am a certified CDED consultant and ModuLife provider, and I believe in the potential of this diet and treatment to help children with Crohn's disease lead as normal a life as possible.

When you visit my clinic, please bring your child's well child book, as well as any previous measurements of their height and weight, especially if there are concerns about their growth. If your child has undergone any further investigations, please bring the results along. Appointments can be made with or without a referral from your doctor. If your doctor does recommend the appointment, a letter containing any important information and previous test results would be helpful.

Payment for consultations is due at the time of the appointment, and we accept EFTPOS payments. The fees can be advised at the time of booking. As a Southern Cross Affiliated Provider, all consultations and endoscopies that I provide are covered, ensuring that these patients do not have any out-of-pocket costs. We also offer ample free patient parking in front of the clinic for your convenience.
